I worked with Talend as a partner and as a super user for Data Integration projects
What do you like best about the product?
Easiest to setup and get going...especially when you have to have a test ride as it is open source!
What do you dislike about the product?
The enterprise edition might be a little tough to configure. But, all in all a great product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a quite a few POCs and Pilots done earlier in 2017 while I was working with a credit card company. It was specifically used for data integration for SMB business unit.
Flexible ETL tool with intuitive interface
What do you like best about the product?
Workflow creation is intuitive with connectors for most sources, targets, and application. Capabilities of running custom code as job components.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some tediousness in mappings, lack of fast and simple ways to have granular control over data flow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data Warehouse ETL, endpoint file download/parse/load to target.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate other solutions for ETL if you are interested in a code-based solution (i.e. Databricks)

Talend uses spark for its applications which is easily integratable for me in my research field.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little lack of display in order to understand what the company is really about

Computer vision and data collection and parsing, for closely related images
Great experience using TAC and moving old jobs

I like using talend because it is super easy to get things working and integrated. We like to use talend for making complex integrations simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the old scheduling options that were given that allowed manual input for user schedules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using talend to integrate our new amazon aurora databases. Making the connections was super easy so it removed the needed time to set up and code integrations manually.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I Think talend is a great tool to use for integrations that are simple. You do not have to think too much in order to get an integration working.

I really like how the offering automates and simplify transferring data to the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really not much I could complain about the offering. Looking forward to exploring it more.

We deal with a lot of data. Talend Cloud helps with making this easy.

What do you like best about the product?
Best easy integration with almost all the cloud integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
In Tmap variable ,am unable to combine and use rows in one go.Instead I have to go for more number of variables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Talents for our SALESFORCE integrations for product data management.
Great Product, insufficient documentation but good support (if you pay for it)

The flexibility and and the amount of components- there's almost no functionality that's not supported.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there is functionality that isn't supported- such as PATCH on trest components. It can also be slow and tends to crash from time to time.

Mapping data from outside customers to our internal systems. We are able to integrate with many more partners seamlessly and quickly because the mapping isn't difficult.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the latest version and upgrade constantly. Support is very helpful if you're stuck.
