Great experience using TAC and moving old jobs
What do you like best about the product?
I like using talend because it is super easy to get things working and integrated. We like to use talend for making complex integrations simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the old scheduling options that were given that allowed manual input for user schedules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using talend to integrate our new amazon aurora databases. Making the connections was super easy so it removed the needed time to set up and code integrations manually.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I Think talend is a great tool to use for integrations that are simple. You do not have to think too much in order to get an integration working.

Great Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how the offering automates and simplify transferring data to the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really not much I could complain about the offering. Looking forward to exploring it more.

We deal with a lot of data. Talend Cloud helps with making this easy.

What do you like best about the product?
Best easy integration with almost all the cloud integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
In Tmap variable ,am unable to combine and use rows in one go.Instead I have to go for more number of variables.

We are using Talents for our SALESFORCE integrations for product data management.
Great Product, insufficient documentation but good support (if you pay for it)

The flexibility and and the amount of components- there's almost no functionality that's not supported.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there is functionality that isn't supported- such as PATCH on trest components. It can also be slow and tends to crash from time to time.

Mapping data from outside customers to our internal systems. We are able to integrate with many more partners seamlessly and quickly because the mapping isn't difficult.

Use the latest version and upgrade constantly. Support is very helpful if you're stuck.
Talend is a great ETL tool
What do you like best about the product?
Talend's integration with most platform and more apparently it supports machine learning and big data integration is the most beneficial thing for every domain in industry. Especially, when you can easily build a recommendation system using Talend tool. Talend connects with numberous database, has API connectivity. This makes the tool really very customizable for the users and application engineers. Numerous connectors helps to develop application business logic under one roof. Continuous integration reduces overhead of repository management and deployment
What do you dislike about the product?
Talend errors still are bit difficult to get away with. Also, the community forum is still not very popular. One needs strong ETL developers with a bit of Java knowledge to debug the errors. If community help is available like other ETL tools such as IBM Datastage, it will be of great help to new ETL developers. Also, hint about optimizing the jobs are not available. That can add more flavor to run times.Scheduling feature which is very basic one is available with only Enterprise editions and not with open studio distribution of Talend. To make spark streaming and machine learning work in Talend you have to subscribe to the Real time big data package
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have big data pipelines containing healthcare data, images (CT scan, XRay , MRI ) which comes in 100 Gb size files. We also have machine learning algorithms to predict and recommend results. We look at optimizing the time for daily , weekly and monthly loads. Althoug, we do incremental loads and have SCD2 implemented, we look at how we can have near real time dashboards.

quick and effective development. large set of component which suppresses most of the needs for ETL.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say instead of dislike there are area of improvement where some more components need to be added.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the features of Talend for our clients. There are some things that I know my developers groan at having to use and Talend is NOT one of them. They all love using Talend and the features/workflows within the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
For me it is a little too technical. My developers understand but sometimes it is hard to translate to business users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our automotive client was receiving data from a vendor called Polk. Polk provides sales data in flat file format that our automotive client wanted to use to generate interactive mobile reports using Roambi.
