Makes the integration of incoming documents a little easier and more fluid
What do you like best about the product?
I like Talend because it has a clear and not very loaded interface, makes the integration of incoming documents a little easier and more fluid, Talend, is easy to learn and configure, has many API's to connect to company servers and databases, is easy to write Java code and integrate it to the Talend platform, the longest part of ETL processing is done with a little effort and specific coding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can fail to debug some jobs, but it doesn't happen very often and once you learn to use it correctly it doesn't happen again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The components are easy to use, Talend provides an uninterrupted integration of Java, so I can use the processing in Java and the main ETL using Talend components increasing performance and complexity, allows us to create detailed components that can be transferred to other development platforms or store them, Talend Enterprise provides a monitoring console activities that is very useful for better management of work, development projects and processes running on Talend, is the best tool to integrate from end to end, being open source has reduced the investment cost of customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very easy to adopt and use, has a very helpful support staff and ensures an optimal integration without errors.
Excellent for dissimilar data sources
What do you like best about the product?
It is excellent for dissimilar data sources such as Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL server or any database. Talend is also very good in cases where a data transformation and a lot of pre-processing is required. The tMap is easy to use and useful, I like it because it has numerous transformers, and we use custom logic for various data fields.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had some problems with Excel in large projects but they were solved quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work with a large number of Excel files from different offices, branches and departments. Most have a different data structure. It was a very complex process of integrating data types, with different sizes. Talend was of great help to us to integrate the data in a single format. Pattern recognition and data analysis had a big impact on the efficiency of document management although we also encountered some bottlenecks and had to reduce our focus area.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We often work with ETL jobs and data sources from multiple offices and integrate them with Talend to provide better data compatibility.
