  • September 28, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Talend helps in managing the whole Organization's Data LifeCycle. The feature that I really appreciate it the unified Database Selection. We can easily switch databases by just dragging and dropping. This saves a lot of time
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about Talend Cloud Data Integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the inclusion of Dynamic Distribution Support for Cloudera CDH we are able to address client related incidents better
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Talend Cloud Integration to all

It is a good option to integrate different data sources

  • September 28, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it is ideal for a small business that does not have the budget for big and expensive tools. The company always strives to be one step ahead of their competitors. Customer service is above a group of colleagues. Ease your work with the tool, the migration of code between the media and the version of the open source software, which will allow new developers to start using and become familiar with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes he has some problems with Microsoft Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The flexibility of working with cloud and field database is key to the success of our project. Documentation reliable, but is limited to a very simple example. The content of hard to find experts, and answers to questions are not always available. Talend Studio is a great need for resources. The companies in which we have worked, we used Kettle Pentaho. In search of a solution that offers the same service, the TOS is achieved and really is the perfect complement to data integration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talend is a solid tool, but limited to very simple examples, content bases are difficult to find one does not always find the answers you are looking for, Talend Studio uses many resources to work properly.

It benefits of all the advantages of the java world

  • September 27, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a branch of Eclipse and thus it benefits of all the advantages of the java world. The fact that all my teammates can develop locally (with project versioning) and deploy the ETL flow as independent component make teamwork so easy! And debugging in the code view helps to find the source of issues very fast, in fact, faster than any other ETL.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its support service is very general and does not dig in our use cases. And you need a technical team that has at least some notion of java to understand the data types and functions and overall the philosophy of Talend
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After migrating from ODI, then SSIS, Talend revealed to be best of those solutions. Talend OSDI has a user-friendly interface, is easy to apprehend, has a lot of out-of-the-box connectors and is very easy to deploy as standalone. No server version of the software needed!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly Recommended.

I love Talend because its the best way to gather and integrate data from different sources into one data-warehouses from where the Data modelling starts and gets processed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike about Talend. I have been using it for the past so many years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The BigData integration has made almost 40% of our work automated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One of the best solutions to come up with API and manage the API integration

Easy to understand and can be adapted to specific requirements

  • August 27, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Components easy to understand and can be adapted to specific requirements. The user interface is based on Eclipse and facilitates Java developers who worked on the Eclipse. Preparation of movement and data transformation is very easy. Regardless of the API call or connect to CRM, almost all decisions are internal connectors.
What do you dislike about the product?
We need to specify the size of the stack on the job level. Detailed assignments available. For example, many rows have been processed or how many have been changed. You can not place his own memory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started a little of data integration solutions, but we think about MDM platform integration and quality components, and data management. Talend documentation helped my team to get acquainted with the technical details. This is made possible because my team had a good value in the ETL. We are working with to implement the Talend team to implement the tool in one week. It was good because we could easily withstand the tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talend strives to use commercially reasonable efforts to provide advisory services to clients, as Talend employees perform standard policy on health, safety and the protection of customers. Talend provides customer support services specified in the order form.

A good tool for large data lines

  • August 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
A good tool for large data lines. Sufficient components for various applications. The relationship of different databases can be used for free, and you can always use the Java code to do something that the platform does not allow the interface. Responsive provider. It offers full support and encouragement. I could add more features to the products over time. Customizable and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ican not find anything that I do not like. It is a very full and fast tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great data integration tool to meet the needs of end users. This integration tool allows you to extract a lot of communication, regardless of the database with another hand, and wherever we wanted and did not see, it is very easy to get a quick connection without loss of data. A simple implementation, but the TAC requires a lot of memory for remote user access to the tool. Excellent tools for data manipulation, but more complex than other tools to extract, transform and load data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an effective product that facilitates the integration of information from different sources.

I had good experiences with Talend

  • August 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I had good experiences with Talend. The flexibility of working with cloud and on-premise databases is the key to our project success. As for the disadvantages, the license cost per user is very high, the usability of the tool, the migration of code between environments and an open source version that new developers can become familiar with.
What do you dislike about the product?
License costs are too high for an organization with many developers. Transformation tools would be hard to repeat at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool is powerful, the documentation is solid, but limited to very simple examples, content experts are hard to find and the answers to the questions are not always available, Talend Studio needs resources very much. The app starts in 15 to 25 minutes, when Talend is in progress, all other tasks are reduced, 100% CPU usage, if not most of the time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In the company we used to work for, we used the Pentaho kettle. We looked for a solution that offered the same service that TOS can and is a great data integration application.

Makes the integration of incoming documents a little easier and more fluid

  • August 13, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Talend because it has a clear and not very loaded interface, makes the integration of incoming documents a little easier and more fluid, Talend, is easy to learn and configure, has many API's to connect to company servers and databases, is easy to write Java code and integrate it to the Talend platform, the longest part of ETL processing is done with a little effort and specific coding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can fail to debug some jobs, but it doesn't happen very often and once you learn to use it correctly it doesn't happen again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The components are easy to use, Talend provides an uninterrupted integration of Java, so I can use the processing in Java and the main ETL using Talend components increasing performance and complexity, allows us to create detailed components that can be transferred to other development platforms or store them, Talend Enterprise provides a monitoring console activities that is very useful for better management of work, development projects and processes running on Talend, is the best tool to integrate from end to end, being open source has reduced the investment cost of customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very easy to adopt and use, has a very helpful support staff and ensures an optimal integration without errors.

Excellent for dissimilar data sources

  • August 10, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is excellent for dissimilar data sources such as Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL server or any database. Talend is also very good in cases where a data transformation and a lot of pre-processing is required. The tMap is easy to use and useful, I like it because it has numerous transformers, and we use custom logic for various data fields.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had some problems with Excel in large projects but they were solved quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work with a large number of Excel files from different offices, branches and departments. Most have a different data structure. It was a very complex process of integrating data types, with different sizes. Talend was of great help to us to integrate the data in a single format. Pattern recognition and data analysis had a big impact on the efficiency of document management although we also encountered some bottlenecks and had to reduce our focus area.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We often work with ETL jobs and data sources from multiple offices and integrate them with Talend to provide better data compatibility.
