Very easy to use and user friendly solution for data historization and visualization
What do you like best about the product?
How it's easy to implement and collect data
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing, except some function for data query which are missing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use it to collect data from our batches and monitor how much time they taking to run, to historize and compare
Awesome product
What do you like best about the product?
InfluxDB provides lots of customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its hard to rearrange dashboards and takes couple of attempts (and is ok). I am not sure if its my browser or some kind of lag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have integrated with our applictions. The one stop web page to monitor the progress of our upgrades is very impressive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

InfluxDB is my go-to open-source TSDB
What do you like best about the product?
- It's open-source
- InfluxDB Cloud is easy to use, has a very intuitive user interface with prebuilt dashboards and scripts for common monitoring projects
- Telegraf can collect metrics from a variety of sources

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any specific features I don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am aggregating IoT sensor data and displaying them in one central dashboard. The data sources are from different manufacturers. Telegraf helps collect the data and sends it InfluxDB Cloud where we can create dasboards based on various needs.
Best solution for time series and IoT application
What do you like best about the product?
Leverages time series platform to handle massive volumes of data produced From application and sensors which enhances better functionality
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to focus on cost optimization and improveuser dashboard interface
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real time data series which are producing form sensors and application
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best solution for large volumes of time series data and platform
Best time series data base with nice feature to generate graphs
What do you like best about the product?
Best part was to integrate very easily with Grafana. Also graph generation is so easy
What do you dislike about the product?
All the features are nice so I don't find any thing to dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was solving bandwidth consumption of devices that data will be added to db and then have to build model using time series forecasting
Good Time Series Database for database requirement

What do you dislike about the product?
documentation is really not helpful;
deleting of data may or may not work even if the query matches;
opensource really needs to be open source;
It is still having lot of dependencies

Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should use InfluxDB when you want continuous streaming data
Managing time series in an easy way
What do you like best about the product?
It is a database specialized in data processing to build time series. It can integrate with other tools such as Grafana to monitor and visualize the data through different filters. It is also continually releasing updates and offering good documentation and support from the community.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it could be improved data interpretation, either through an interface or through the results provided through the console. Another aspect of improving at the performance level is the memory use as we accumulate data since sometimes it is necessary to restart the server to free memory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the primary use cases is the possibility of monitoring our applications to obtain metrics related to the memory and CPU consumption of the application servers that are running in containers and orchestrators such as Docker and Kubernetes. In addition, we can generate alerts for different types of events and monitor in real-time the capacity of applications as users register and connect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a good solution for time series recording and can be integrated with other monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana through different plugins.
The tech is great, cloud offering is immature
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to learn Flux language to query the DB. Not too hard to programmatically generate query code
What do you dislike about the product?
The repeating technical issues, around 1-2 issues a month that prevents us as an org, from providing our customers with data.
The rate of failures has decreased in the last 6 months but still way too high compared to other DB as a service offerings

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast queries that the main parameter is time. This is where Timebased DB shines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the OSS solution, it has better community. The cloud service is immature
Leveraging InfluxDB for IoT projects has been a breeze.
What do you like best about the product?
The high availability of the stored data and also time series feature has helped develop our IoT projects with the greatest efficiency and further projects have been planned on the same framework.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve was a challenge, but as the team was trained, the workflow got easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our data availability request was a challenge with the existing infrastructure, so we had to leverage a solution for robust data transfers and high availability timeframe with minimal lag.
Excellent High Performance Time Series Database
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful database for time series data that is very feature rich and easy to use. Very useful for a lot of different uses from monitoring to reporting and many other tasks. Database has a lot of built in data features taht are really handy when dealing with time series data that a lot of other databasess don't have. The database is also very efficient at storing the information on disk in a very compact manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to deal with cardinality and memory consumption can be a challenge. This has created some limitations for us where we have to be careful about what all we put into InfluxDB to make sure that we can have a stable instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using InfluxDB to store telemtry information from thousands of machines and using the data for monitoring and reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a database to store and visualize time series data I think this is one of if not the best solutions available at this time; and it is open source which is really nice. The team has done a great job of not hamstringing useful features behind paid services which is really great to see.
