What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to estimate the billing in InfluxDB Cloud Service.
It would be nice to have an easier pricing model.
It would be nice to have an easier pricing model.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use InfluxDB mostly in IoT systems. Although I also use it to store metrics from network devices, systems, and so on.
Easy to set up and powerful tool for data analysis
What do you like best about the product?
It was straightforward to set up and get data stored safely in a well-managed way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Flux can be a complex language to learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to visualise our data and alert us if there are any issues.
InfluxDB enables fast insight into live data
What do you like best about the product?
The flux query language has some great features and extensibility to enable very powerful queries. Overall performance of the database is pretty good for my use case.
What do you dislike about the product?
The flux query language is unique and has a learning curve. I'm used to learning multiple programming languages, but having to learn flux is what slowed the project down the most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using influxdb to log data form machinery in a manufacturing environment. This data provides insights into our efficiency at the individual employee level and business level. We are using it to assess processes, our costing models, and decide what to improve.
InfluxDB
What do you like best about the product?
I strongly recommend InfluxDB for those of you who works with time related problems. I have conceived some applications based on it for the monitoring in industry. The ability to have the data easily available is really a major factor in the adoption. I am able to use it with any language and environment. Using it in the context of machine learning is a real plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
It suits my problematic. Maybe the learning curve has a bigger slope than other classical DB but that worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aggregating data, saving data, matching time and doing operation on time series. I am more productive with that system.
InfluxDB perfect for home automation
What do you like best about the product?
InfluxDB is extremely flexible, I can just drop off all the measurements from my smart home into influxDB for storage first, and think about queries later.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike here, except for missing graphical analysis -- but there's Grafana for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to store all my smart home data seamlessly, just dropping it off via cURL requests or from nodeRED for later usage. No DB schema definition, nothing.
Best time-based DB for IOT
What do you like best about the product?
I do like how InfluxDB also includes the Telegraf service, which allows quick data import from multiple sources. It is my favourite time-series DB for IOT projects. I also like that it is free to use for personal projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I must say that the Flux language is quite challenging to understand at the beginning and has a steep learning curve. I assume that more development to ease up the language ability is still needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for collecting temperature data which are then used to enhance temperature settings in our house.
InfluxDB - Amazing for Hobbyists and Professional Applications
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature of InfluxDB is the way it seamlessly handles schemaless data ingestion! This allows me to quickly decide to send in new data fields, and not have to worry about database schema design!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about InfluxDB at this time - I typically will integrate with Grafana for visualizations, as they offer stronger capabilities over what Influx offers in house!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
InfluxDB lets me develop rapid prototypes in my personal projects, or any time I need to quickly ingest data for visualizations at work as well.
Great fast time series database and query language, very fast response and support
What do you like best about the product?
Everything works as promised. Documentation is good and structured, support is even better with fast response time (minutes). New functionality grows fast and most new solutions are released before you thought you needed them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Almost none. As with many 'new' things, Flux has a steap learning curve, but once you master is, it is very powerful. And SQL queries are on its way, so problem solved for those who don't need the power of Flux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives the ability to collect time series big data and then analyse/query is in many ways with very quick query results. Flux gives you the ability to combine time series with external datasets (API/DB).
A Comprehensive Review of InfluxDB
What do you like best about the product?
The database can handle high amounts of data with ease and the built-in clustering functionality ensures that the system remains highly available, even when dealing with large datasets. The real-time performance of InfluxDB is impressive, with fast query execution times and low latency. This makes it ideal for use in applications that require real-time data analysis, such as monitoring and tracking systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
InfluxDB has limited support for complex data relationships. While it is possible to store related data in the same database, it can be difficult to manage these relationships effectively, especially when dealing with large amounts of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
InfluxDB is highly customizable and can be integrated with other tools and systems, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of use cases. Whether you are working with IoT data, application metrics, or financial data, InfluxDB can handle it all with ease. The built-in graphing and alerting features make it simple to visualize and monitor your data, and the integration with popular tools like Grafana and Kapacitor only adds to its versatility.
A light but powerful db for many IoT applications
What do you like best about the product?
It's a quick "time to awesome" solution, as they say. The short learning curve and intuitive usage make it the perfect choice for newbies and experts. In terms of writing/reading rate, it outperforms the competitors, as documented in many papers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Influx is rapidly growing. The simplicity of version v1.0 was impressive. Influx v2.0 added many features, and InfluxDB Cloud changed the paradigm: this may have made old applications outdated quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When IoT applications are concerned, a storage solution is always needed for one reason or another: historical data saving, performance monitoring, analytics, and so on. InfluxDB fulfills all the requirements, together with Telegraf, allowing me to build a home automation app rapidly, efficiently and happily.
