Fantastic Application for Financial Data
What do you like best about the product?
It has a clear user interface and the AI features are impressive for identifying trends.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at this point. It's intuitive, but more application integrations are always helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very helpful to be able to thoroughly monitor financial data for my organization. The trends are very helpful to continually monitor throughout the fiscal year.
A nice BI platform
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use for new users. Those who know nothing about business intelligence can learn it in a short time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Windows version limitation. Have to migrate to Linux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been used to generate company-wide reports and is the most important platform for business.
Sisense helped us tap into data visualizations with a broader team than just developers.
What do you like best about the product?
Accessibility to in-house MySQL data across teams who can create dashboards without involving our dev team. Filters with simple syntax and accessibility to teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a steep learning curve to custom syntax, variable replacement, date filters, etc. But these are benefits, once learned, not drawbacks. We have a lack of understanding of the caching capability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense is not solving any problems, but it helps identify them, which is a benefit.
A good product
What do you like best about the product?
I like the Ease of use and the various options for creating dynamic dashboards that elevate user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The need to edit script and code stuff in to make adjustments to a few minor things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The quick view and filtering options allow for a clear and detailed spread of data.
Sisense has made a lot of sense for our business
What do you like best about the product?
It connects our back end data with data from other sources, like our Salesforce instance and other tools, allowing us the business intelligence we need to run our business and understand what needs doing/ what's working/ what's not working, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
The visualization tools aren't as powerful as they are with other systems. I also wish the dashboard organization tools were better - I often have trouble finding the dashboards I need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We connect all our primary data sources through Sisense and essentially, it helps us to wade through the data lake and pull out relevant insights to run our business.
Sisense makes visualizing your data easy
What do you like best about the product?
User Management and Permissions are a breeze. Especially with SSO using SAML.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sisense could use work as far as support for mapping and custom maps, as well as creating more detailed or varied visualizations out of the box, although the flexibility offered by blox helps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing us to monetize our data to clients, by selling them a seat to view our insights. Before, we just sent excel sheets to clients.
Sisense/Periscope is a underrated for quick iterative dashboarding
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboards are fast and don't require staging data, but instead directly interface with the database. Dashboard development is almost instantaneous, you just write a SQL query and pick the visualization from a drop down menu. Easy to iterate quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as much customization as my customers sometimes request in the dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get easy, quick to build, visualizations of my database queries. It helps me know all aspects of product performance, revenue tracking, customer behavior, etc.
Evaluating the efficacy of Sisense
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is an approachable software that allows users to self-serve business information. Without a tool like this, most companies make decisions without supporting data. This can lead to bias and wrong decisions being made. We use sisense to argue from the truth, not opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile application is almost unusable. It does not natively integrate into other software we use, like Salesforce. At times, we wish that we could get more information into a single cube. Getting the data cubes set up properly is a must. User can get very frustrated when data is not correlated properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense is constantly putting the numbers in front of us, almost forcing us to face the truth daily. It is easy to get relaxed when numbers are only published quarterly.
A strategic analytics partner for businesses of any size
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense has enabled our company of ~ 50 employees to operationalize data & analytics in a scalable and cost-effective way.
What do you dislike about the product?
When Sisense acquired Periscope, support went from live chat to tickets that took days to resolve. They are making improvements in this area.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense allows us to join and visualize critical business data from various companies, saving time and unlocking strategic insights that enable us to make better decisions faster.
Works ok but a few major flaws
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use and has all the necessary functionalities. Very flexible and can be tweaked to accommodate most use cases (although not the most efficient in some cases). Lastly, plenty of visualization options that make it easy to find insights!
What do you dislike about the product?
Each widget is an independent qury, making it very inefficient regarding database cost. Lacks flexibility for data exploration (i.e., changes need to be made in the query). Lastly, users cannot create explorations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Query necessary information and visualize them to get business insights. In addition, I use Sisense for dashboarding to help cross-functional teams track key metrics.
