What do you like best about the product?
The people I work with when deploying the dashboard are top notch and quickly understand by data to help design my dashboards.

Their support often takes longer than I'd like and they're focused more on their Linux version than their Windows version that I use.

Powerful BI Platform With Some Limitations

  • November 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sisense extensively for building interactive dashboards and finds it very easy to use with its flexible data integration and intuitive drag-and-drop interface. The implementation getting started with Sisense is relatively smooth. Their documentation and community forums cover common use cases well. An intuitive interface reduces the learning curve for new users. The customer support team is generally responsive in resolving issues. However, there is scope for improvement in response times for critical issues. More region-specific support will be beneficial. Power users who work with Sisense daily will find it very easy and intuitive to use. Embedding my dashboards into internal web apps required some custom coding effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of DevOps capabilities can create challenges in multiple environemnts. The pricing model also needs to be more transparent on feature access. Larger complex implementations & deployments may require professional services. Less frequent users may require some ramp-up time to get used to the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Sisense to build advanced analytics dashboards providing insights into device usage data. The wide range of visualization and charting capabilities allowed me to build dashboards tailored to our needs. In summary, Sisense provided the advanced analytics and customization we needed to deliver an embedded "analytics-as-a-service" experience directly to our customers within their existing portal.

Very flexible and feature-rich BI tool

  • November 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is very flexible and feature-rich, has connectors for pretty much any digital data source one could imagine, so very easy to integrate to any of your existing data source tools. Their customer support is also outstanding, and even though the tool is pretty straightforward and easy to use, they really do want to make sure that their customers get the most that they can from the tool. Our users here have quickly come to rely upon the reporting capabilities multiple times per day.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be some improvments in "picture-perfect" reporting capabilities. All the basic charts and graph types exist, and there is a rich java-script capability that allows a lot of individual control to those charts and graphs (line weights, colors, hiding certain columns of data, etc); but, the java-scripting does require a lot more skill to use than the standard UI controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy access to data, integration of data from multiple sources, faster and more accurate business decisions.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of end user use, ability to drill for more details, customability, dashboard updates eaily distributed
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that comes to my mind readily at this time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create a standard interface/dashboard for endusers, based on deparmental needs, and give them the ability to get as detailed as required, without having to create endless reports with slight variations

User-Friendly Interface: The platform's intuitive design facilitates easy navigation and use, even for those with limited technical expertise.
Advanced Analytical Capabilities: Sisense offers powerful tools for deep data analysis, supporting informed decision-making.

Enterprise Embedding Leader

  • November 14, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Still believe Sisense remains one of the leaders in the embedding space given their array of hosting options.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a very expensive product, with multi-year agreements. This is challenge for the S&B / Mid-Market, thus I feel it is far more tailored for Enterprise use-cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense enables embedding capabilities with ease, and is specifically tailored for Enterprise software requirements. Their use-based licensing models are also, at least from a unit economics standpoint, more scalable then alternative offerings.

Highly configurable analytics frontend

  • November 11, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Highly configurable analytics platform. Capable of adapting to a variety of our use cases and needs, even as our product has scaled.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had issues with Sisense, where the amount of data began to be limited (high memory usage, loading errors) which impacted our native platform reporting - analytics becoming slow or unresponsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense to provide our analytics frontend native within our platform. Sisense enabled us to launch fast with analytics capabilities, without having to build and maintain a plethora of frontend components every time we wanted to visualise something anew.

Lots of promises, lack of results

  • November 10, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's got an intuitive interface that's very user-friendly, and building dashboards is a breeze. They've done a great job on the UI/UX.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product is buggy, the updates cause chaos, and the promises of fixing things go largely unsolved. We spent ~$345,000 in three years and had to pull the plug. Initially, they recommended we host Sisense on our server, which we did, and after many issues, we moved to their cloud service as they told us this would solve all of the issues. This ended up not happening, and we had many issues that were simply unresolved. This caused major problems for our customers (we're a SaaS company, and we used Sisense to provide analytics to our customers), who constantly complained about things that suddenly stopped working (e.g., scheduled reports, exports to Excel and other features that stopped working out of the blue). The performance was lackluster, and all we received were excuses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary goal was to provide embedded analytics for our customers within our application, but the dashboards took 10+ seconds to load the first time, so our customers simply stopped using it due to the low performance.
