Great Product - Easy to setup and use

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about AppDynamics is it is very easy to setup and configure, with some good experience about softwares and servers in general, a user can be up and ready to use AppDynamics within 30 minutes. The out of the box features allow you to quickly view a lot of data about your application which you do not have access to otherwise.
What do you dislike about the product?
A better user experience can be provided on the dashboard creation. From my experience you can create great dashboards but then a user creating the dashboard should be well versed with the tool as well as know details about their own application in order to create a impressive dashboard. Some of the custom metric widgets on dashboards are not that email friendly and can be enhanced to provide a better configuration ability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are mainly looking for bottlenecks within our application and trying to identify the most expensive backend calls. Currently we are mainly doing out of the box monitoring that is available and plan to increase and improve it in the next few months.

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of Appdynamics is the flow map with the auto discovered business transactions and application end points. The auto discovery feature saves countless man hours configuring which metrics or transaction which are monitored.
What do you dislike about the product?
The community plugins are treated a second class citizens when integrating with the flow map.
The requirement of the Flash plugin to interact with portions of the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visibility in customer facing applications and services which drives daily revenue. Appdynamics allows my organization to get ahead and resolve issues before the can affect our customers.

AppD provides clear visibility to several aspects of Infrastructure and applications.
Provides excellent way to quickly troubleshoot and ahead of issues while they are occurring.

It delivers what it promises. None that I dislike

What do you like best about the product?
Provides insights on the health of our business via Application Performance. Can detect problems before our customers are impacted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Current lack of real time application performance visibility on single page angular apps. I have been told that this will be coming soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Detect application impacts facing our customers and users before they cause revenue impacting events. Gain insights into customer trends and preferences to determine how to evolve our application behavior.

What do you like best about the product?
We use app dynamics for monitoring all our applications and its performances.It is a very efficient tool and one great feature is that it supports many languages. Tha dashboard and reporting features are also very useful
What do you dislike about the product?
This tool is little expensive and adding it to each unit make it very costly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helps in monitoring the application issues and identify the traffic on certain applications and monitor the response time.The graphical data helps to easily locate the application where issue persist.

What do you like best about the product?
This application is very much useful for Production support department. This will indicate error on server , networks as well as line of source code, which help to rapid support with efficient manner. Further this will also integrate with firewalls. we can use email and sms for pre alert or any thing required
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration is very much complex. We cann't implement internally as required complete hand on training with expects. Additionally, integration with Oracle on source code need to implement in future as .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Support issue and identifying the actual issue ,as we are the large organization with have multiples domains, and every domains have their work loads., this application help them to identity the error root for rapid fixation.

this will required what support department objective and goals. this will help to achieve their KPI on write directions.

What do you like best about the product?
In our order management landscape we have many application servers and many agent servers, monitoring the uptime, response time, memory issues has been very effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the alerts seems to not work, and the to pinpoint the exact problem there are multiple levels of data that are required to be analyzed.

What do you like best about the product?
The diagram of the whole application and its connections
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn’t notify you if the agent stop working..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitor all my applications( Prod and nonprod) and gives you a good overview of what is going on. Also, regarding security it provides the stack trace but doesn’t show application logs which means it won’t show any confidential data so that’s really good.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it, it gives you a nice overview and if you want to look it deeper you can go ahead.
