Apptega's intuitive platform is a standout in the cybersecurity compliance landscape, making it easy for organizations to navigate even the most complex frameworks with confidence.
The detailed crosswalking functionality saves hours of effort by seamlessly aligning controls across multiple frameworks like NIST, ISO, and PCI DSS.

What do you dislike about the product?
I would to see more MSSP co-branding elements within the reporting output.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing multiple frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and others can be overwhelming. Apptega simplifies this by offering prebuilt templates and crosswalking capabilities, eliminating duplicate work when complying with multiple standards.
Apptega allows organizations to populate framework data without the need to structure framework.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact that after only a short 1 day introduction to the software, it is extremely easy to use and has intelligence built in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, this software has impressed me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega has an existing NIST & CMMC framework that we can build on very easily. It also allows us to expand our compliance very efficiently. Many of our team are dispersed, so the abililty for multiple team members to access the app and distribute tasks is paramount.

Excellent tool for program and compliance management
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega has made it easy to streamline my clients' security programs and communicate their posture in near real time. As an advisor and consultant, I am tasked with gathering information and making it useful for my clients. Apptega provides an interface for collecting information and comments, documenting risk, and managing tasks in relation to their specific controls. It saves me a great deal of time that was previously spent sifting through multiple file shares to create reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a marketplace or some kind of information regarding providers that can remediate specific controls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega centralizes information relevant to different teams with different initiatives. By creating roles within the system, I no longer need to over-provide information to the technical teams or to the executives. I can easily set my tenants up to provide least privilege access and still communicate posture effectively to disparate teams.
Apptega makes compliance and audits a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega is great in that it cross-maps requirements from our various regulatory and financial audits, simplifying collection and entry, and it allows us to involve not only our information security staff, but also general IT, business unit employess and vendors in our audit processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if we could more easily separate uploaded files into individual audits or projects, as right now, the only easy separation is in using a naming scheme.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega simplifies our audit processes, by correlating and centralizing audit data, while applying it to all of our regulatory audits, so that we don't have to enter the same data individually, for each audit body.

Apptega shines in its ability to help companies build and operate robust security and compliance programs. The platform simplifies the complexities involved in adhering to various compliance frameworks and efficiently managing vendor risk, ensuring that all security measures are up-to-date and effective. The integration process with existing systems is straightforward, which enhances usability and helps maintain continuity across business operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current user interface of Apptega feels outdated, occasionally impacting the speed of our operations. Fortunately, we have been able to preview the planned updates, and the upcoming UI improvements are promising. We are optimistic about the new design, which looks to modernize and enhance user experience significantly. Additionally, the team at Apptega is always responsive to feedback, consistently working to incorporate new features and tailor solutions for specific client challenges, which significantly boosts our confidence in their commitment to continuous improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega is solving significant challenges in Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) by offering a unified platform that simplifies these complex processes. It enables us to manage GRC activities from one place, reducing the need for multiple tools, which streamlines our workflows and ensures consistency across projects. The platform supports various compliance frameworks, allowing us to align controls with regulations like ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR efficiently. This alignment is crucial for meeting regulatory obligations seamlessly. Additionally, Apptega's robust vendor risk management capabilities help us mitigate risks associated with third-party vendors, an essential aspect given today's interconnected business environments. The platform also makes auditing and reporting more manageable, saving us time during audits and improving transparency with regulators and stakeholders.

The ability to track your progress on each assessment you are working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not currrently encountered any downsides to using Apptega.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega allows me to manage all of my compliance projects in one place. It is platform that accessbile to both me and my customer throughout the compliance building process.
Innovation, Intuition, Community
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega is intuitive to use-- i was able to get my multiple security frameworks setup with minimal time required. My favorite thing is the constant innovation we see going on. I've submitted multiple feature requests since the product was released and the Apptega team has been diligent with their word and communication around these requests. They've also done good work to build a community around their tool-- where folks can discuss the tool and how best to use it, and anything else related to it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we come across bugs in the web app. These bugs may be resolved in days to weeks, depending on the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega allows us to manage our vendor questionnaires, sending them out to our supply chain with follow ups/etc. We manage Risk with Apptega as well, developing multiple risk registrars. The reason we got Apptega in the first place was for it's Security Compliance and Audit Management features to help us with our CMMC certification process. The Security Compliane is top notch, and the Audit Management has come a long way. We're able to generate good reports based off the data we put in.
Great Product Delivering GRC Capabilities with Outstanding Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
The simplisity of the product. It simply works. The ease of implementation was a key to UtliSat's decision to use Apptega; and Apptega did not disappoint in this area. It does not take days or weeks of training to begin using. It has flexibility in capabilities to allow for larger companies to utilize features found in the much more expensive competitors. The customer support and willingness to add features or do ad hoc training has been second to NONE!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can generally think of. The product and the team have been supportive. We plan to utilize more functionality in the next year. Great team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega is solving our compliance, risk management, and supply chain risk management efforts. As we mature, we will continue to use additional features. Apptega has an open door policy to talk with the company to share our needs and desires to add and improve their product to make it more competitive.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to link multiple frameworks makes compliance initiatives so easy to keep track of.
What do you dislike about the product?
The controls layouts look a little busy and can be overwhelming when first starting out.
