Trustworthy Firewall and Security Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
Sonicwall allows us to keep our corporate network and data safe while giving our employees the flexibility to work remotely and access files and information on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't anything I dislike, as we have only scratched the surface with all of the solutions and service offerings that SonicWall currently offers. We currently utilize their Network Security services but they also do cloud security and endpoint security as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SonicWall helps us safeguard our corporate network by adding an extra layer of security between our employees and our private network. Having this solution in place keeps our business data safe while allowing our employees the ability to work from anywhere.
Best solution against cyber attacks
What do you like best about the product?
First of all it is very helpful to enable the organisations to access any application from anywhere and anytime. It is very cost effective and easy to install. It protects against cyber attacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes works slow during launching. Well we hardly see any issues in its working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has solved problem during pandemic time as it facilitates remote access of applications with full fledged cyber security and leads to better productivity. Really its a boon for us

Secure and user friendly user interface
What do you like best about the product?
as configuration and operation are basic importance for any network for sustaining and following the policies, the best user interface and policies options in sonic wall along with monitoring and troubleshooting features are good.
What do you dislike about the product?
searching online document for configuring or only for studying about sonic wall takes time or go through, if more youtube videos and easily available learning videos will be awesome. also more study material and content for the sonic wall exam and certification i will be interested in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
securing the centralized data center and few branch location servers with SSL VPN and centralized URL filtering and IPS threat protect and really helping with business needs of securing the IT resources.
The best VPN connectivity and Network security
What do you like best about the product?
The SonicWall Dashboard from version v7.0 is easy to Manage and add the policies. Unlike others vendor firewalls, the SonicWall firewall has multiple ports already built-in. We can set up both Site to Site and SSL VPN in less time with the newly upgraded GUI. In Sonicwall, multiple preconfigured security profiles protect the network when it deploys.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is much difference in the CLI command statements from version old version and new version i.e v7.5. Sonicwall need to be improve their customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use the Sonicwall device as the first defense firewall in our network, as HA mode. With the help of SonicWall's VPN feature, our users can access the servers on corporate LAN without any troubles. The Load balencing of the internet links is excellent, and we are able to use two ISP links at a time. Intrusion prevention and Detection profiles are working very well.

Sonicwall is an excellent firewall to start with.

It's a very flexible, easy to configure, robust firewall for a great price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tech support could be better. In my experience, support engineers are hard to understand and don't seem to be all that helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using 4 (HA) firewalls to secure my network as well as provide SSLVPN and site to site connections.

Setting up of SSL VPN is one of the best of all.
Content filtering, vulnerability assessment. All security services under a single module are one of the easy access ways to do.

Bug reporting and patches take months which should be restricted.
For TZ500 series for SMEs should at least support 250+ licensed ssl VPN users.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are managing our traffic flow using their UTM devices PAN india.
We have moved from Fortinet to SonicWall and are satisfied so far with the services and support provided.

Sonicwall UTMs are a low-cost and effective solution in comparison to the BIG players; it is a must to try products at a significantly lesser cost.

1. CLI commands are very different from v6.5 to v7.0

4. Whenever we change the real-time data report option, it asks for a device reboot.
