In my opinion MySQL is the BEST software for database un the world
What do you like best about the product?
When you have enough knowledge and the database designed, it's all very simple

Nothing all is good in this system, in my opinion

What do you like best about the product?
I always use the free version, and to this day, I havent had any problem, all working flawlessly. It can be installed on windows or linux, this way you are not forced to use one or another OS. Its one of the most used Database system, so you can find a lot of information on the internet if you have any doubt (wich you probably will)
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it not very first time user friendly. Previous knowledge is recommended to configure the Database for the first time. Also, some synthax is different from other SQL, this can lead to error in the code if you dont know
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as database for a wiki we have for information of all our programs, with installation steps, installer paths, FAQs and more. We also use it as database for a GLPI instance we have. Since installing we havent had any problem, wich is great since we have a great load of work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I havent had any major problems using Mysql, so I can recommend its use, but be advised that I recommend to read some manual if you dont have experience using it, because it can be a bit confusing especially at first.

It allows with a quick and easy installation the access to database of small and large scale besides the support and the popularity help to solve any incident

I think it should support SQL ansi standard by default however when you bring sql from other database managers it is necessary to make enough changes

MySql has allowed us to develop small-scale applications that can then grow easily and quickly and the development facilities such as documentation allow a person inexpert to do the job in a short time.

I recommend MySql for quick projects and without a lot of data volume although it handles well with large volumes of data and the right hardware resources

MySQL really helps the users of it use a database well as it stores information well as a database management system.Oracle is great for buying it.

I dislike how sometimes you cannot see the tables you have created using select statements properly. The database is also very plain and it is sometimes confusing for new users to try and log onto mySQL.

We were trying to solve the business problems of having a database which stores very important statements of our user's shared billing services data.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is very easy to use and to understand. I first encountered it in school and later used it for practicing SQL at home. I have used it many times over and over again. It has the same syntax as SQL and other languages similar to that.

I do not dislike MySQL at all. I have never had a problem with it at all.

I wrote queries with MySQL that involved retrieveing customer data/information and also orders.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used the free version of MySQL. It has a ease to configure database in number of ways. Moreover, it can be accessed across multiple platforms. It has large support for troubleshooting available hence great for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are proprietary. The software is free but user has to pay for support when needed. Does not support data partitions. A server is needed for each set of data files.
