Great and Popular Relational Database
What do you like best about the product?
The ease which you can find learning resources and support from the community.
It is really on every, or at least on the bast majority, of cloud providers, so using any of them or migrating over them can be done really quickly with barely none extra configuration.
Current support and update is one big plus, having teaks, and improvements over performance or usability across upgrades.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the difficulties at the time of make robust architectures with db clusters and replication processes.
An important amount of issues that we have encountered are related to the actual system which the database is installed, some of these are not quite good documented and with reason as there are so many distinct systems out there.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the common purpose data storage are handled with ease using MySQL, quick setup, restore and backup for our operations data. Even before try something else we first run the first steps on MySQL.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Some of the most common troubleshoots are already solved by the community and with all those resources is pretty easy to use the features or delegate some operations with the knowledge that if any trouble comes up can be solved throughout the documentation and forums.
For more specific and deep issues you may encounter some knowledge of the actual system and network where the server is located is going to me required. Some of this weird issues can easily tracked, handled or even avoided in cloud solutions.

MySQL - Easy to use and free to use
What do you like best about the product?
It is free. It is perfectly up-to-date SQL syntax. The control panel administrator is really easy to use for simple table insert, changes and deletes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Noting I can think of except some corporate accounts insist on paying for Microsoft's SQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use MySQL for everything we do in-house. We have some corporate users that insist on Microsoft SQL server, but they don't mind spending the money.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great SQL server app and I see no reason to spend the money on other apps unless the customer demands it.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of MYSQL for a student such as myself is that it is free!
What do you dislike about the product?
MYSQL obviously has a wide range of capabilites but can be quite intimidating to a first time user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have not used it to solve any business problems, just classwork.

I use MySQL for handling huge amount of data. It is very robust and stable. It is very easy to learn. It manages the data in the form of table which help us to retrieve the data easily. It is cheaper. It is more reliable and faster.

The queries are sometimes very confusing and it's commands are hard to be memorized by the beginners .

It's very easy to use. I liked the way it makes the retrieval of the data easy. Updating and modification of data becomes very easy.

MySQL is an open source database management software. It is easy to set up. It supports many programming languages. It is very flexible, stable and robust. A lot of online support is available for MySQL so one could easily learn and get their problems solved. Its commands are simple and easy to learn. It allows us manage huge amount of data in a very easy way and further allows its easy modification, deletion etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
For new users the MySQL commands are very confusing. Optimization of queries is tough task through MySQL. The performance degrades as the size of data increases.

I use MySQL in my office to maintain large database of customers and products. It becomes easy to handle. It allows us to easily modify and update the database. It helps us to maintain the history of the payments done to a customer. It is easy to setup and are scalable to multiple platforms. It supports multiple programming languages.

Without a doubt, MySQL is one of the best databases on the market because it offers everything needed from a relational database at no cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
For users with little experience, it may be more difficult to implement an instance of this database since it does not come with a graphical interface by default. It's not a big problem as a quick search will help you find several free options on the market.

When the financial resources of the projects are limited, I always turn to this database. For me, it is the most reliable of its kind on the market.

Ability to query a large database with minimum run time.Ease of use, cross-platform availability and accessibility on the cloud and cluster for web scale. MySQL is very easy to install, and thanks to a bevy of third-party tools that can be added to the database, setting up an implementation is a relatively simple task. In addition, it’s also an easy database to work with. So long as you understand the language, you shouldn’t run into too many problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s Got A Few Stability Issues, suffers from relatively poor performance scaling. The development is not community driven and has lagged. Its functionality tends to be heavily dependent on addons. Developers may find some of its limitations be frustrating

It is a free databese management software. It has many tools and features that help us to easily handle even the complex database. One can easily play with the queries to modify, update and extract info from the database. It is widely used and a lot of online troubleshooting options are also available which help the user to use it with great ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes some features of MySQL are need to be paid for being used. It doesn't support partition due to which handling of large data is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use MySQL in my office to manage large data of Marchants and their different transactions. I use to extract records of any Marchant, to get the detail of any transaction and see the history of a customer.

What do you like best about the product?
It was one of the easiest tools to work with when I did webhosting tech support for hostgator.

More tools weren't like it! So no complaints.

Webhosting, it was used in the backend but also customers had the option to add it. Easy to troubleshoot and help customers with.
