Coming from the Oracle Database installing and configuration of MySQL is done in no time. It's very easy to set up clusters as well

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to manage data using mysql. It is really easy to learn and develop products usign mysql as a backend storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's UI/UX framework. It is easy to learn but someone with out technical background might not like to use it so may be changing it's ui framework will help it to develop things much faster

problem of dealing with large data and to orgainze it using database is solved using mysql.

Free and Friendly User Database
What do you like best about the product?
The most i like in mysql database is aside for having community edition that is free to explore for developers like us the GUI is friendly user its not hard to understand the features and easy to create schema and tables. You can also import and export data from excel for convenient use for data analysis, reporting and marketing strategies. There is also security features for admin to avoid hacking. There have also a lot of tutorial online that will help you as a beginner.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will say it's not dislike feature but to enhance it further to make it online database so every where a developer can access data on it. Its a good practice right know since we are on age of technologies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem i solve using mysql is making database for our payroll system, computer inventory, etc together with microsoft visual studio.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As far as experience mysql is one of the best open source database that is fit for software developers because for being friendly user and having a lot of tutorials or reference that will helps us.

The best thing about MySQL is that it's free, scalable, and easy to use.

Compared to Oracle Database, it lacks a lot of pre -built in functions.

We used MySQL to store big data with complicated relations and it seemed to handled them well

Given the Different data storage options with InnoDB, Document store or even NDB you have a lot of flexibility for management and storage of your data.
Replicating across multiple site for data security, or redundancy is quite easy to do with either Async or Sync replication models.

What do you dislike about the product?
MYSQL's tolerance for high-latency networks when attempting more than 2 nodes, is pretty tough.
If you use MySQL Workbench, you will be vastly disappointed.

We are using MySQL on high-latency networks with 3 sites, it is a problem not encountered often. We haven't found a solution thus far.

Ensure you have proper network support
