Why MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is open source and easily available. It’s easy to use and can handle huge amounts of data simultaneously. We have been using MySQL for so long for our web applications. Something else I like about MySQL is that there is plenty of documentation and reading resources online.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no guarantee that it will always be open source. MySQL is also not mature and advanced compared to some few other relational database management systems (RDBMS). MySQL also needs improvements on query performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL is one of the most popular relational database management systems used on websites and web applications. We have been using MySQL as a database solution for our web applications. It's affordable and easy to use. Being a popular solution there are a lot of developers available when you want to hire developers to build web apps that will be using MySQL.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MySQL is so popular, easily available and free. It's a good place to start. MySQL has been used by small, medium and big companies which means it can be trusted. I would recommend it.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of establishing a connection and querying a database.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how easy it is to accidentally open multiple connections due to the connections not being automatically closed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL provides an excellent solution for database integration and management. It has provided me with a way to store vast amounts of information collected through my software while still being able to quickly retrieve entries.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL helps alot as a foundation of most open-source packages that I use to build my online website. Great stability and very widely used.It is always up to date with the new changes. It is highly secure. It can even work with other database like oracle.I have been able to do what I needed with MySQL without needing to learn much as the SQL language is very standardized.Overall MySql is the best Source i ever used easy to use and secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unwanted minor Crashes Issues Which still I faced 3 to 4 Times In a year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without Mysql it would be harder to keep the company running. We would have to opt for other solutions that require more financial resources.

According to me My SQL is Best and i recommend to everyone use this.

What do you like best about the product?
I like it's user interface. Personally I use my SQL every time that I need to use the same db on different operating environments. For example Windows or Linux.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the absence of support, but is reasonable if you consider that is free. If you need technical support you need to choose the payd version

Every time that I need a powerful database, without buy expensive licenses like its competitors, I choose My SQL. I can manage every type of business problems

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to learn, supports transactions that are atomic and secure. Moreover, MySQL is ubiquitous. It is easy to scale, always available. Finally, since it is being used by many big companies and organizations making it one of the most trusted and dependable database systems. It is proven!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the queries can get too complicated and difficult to understand. One really needs to sit down and parse the queries to get the exact thing that is happening.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is the database that is being used by one of the projects that I am currently working on. The benefits that I have realized are, it is very easy to learn, it is secure and ensure the atomic properties being maintained by the transactions.

Not a big data enterprise db. Not suitable for multi cluster db for real time purposes.

This tool is simple, easy to use, relatively powerful and useful. It is a great introduction to relational databases.

It is not powerful enough for big data.

I am using it in classes to teach students about database concepts. Since it is very standard and easy to use, the students take to it easily.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about MySQL is the large community of users who contribute documentation, find bugs and publish articles on best practices.
For our enterprise we find that this is highly valuable to running our systems efficiently and with all of the necessary features even when we have not had former experience with some features in a production environment.

What do you dislike about the product?
The one shortcoming I've found is the lack of visualization tools for analyzing metrics and investigating query performance. Percona has some pretty good tools for this which are free to use and Oracl's MySQL tools are quite nice but fairly expensive. Even with that, there are better tools for network visualization or system analytics than what currently exists for MySQL monitoring.

We use MySQL as our primary relational database.

Nothing. It helps to create queries easily. I think it is a best tool.
