Essential for the beginning of learning
What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is very easy to use and is compatible with practically all platforms. So far, I haven't had any problems using it. The MySQL community is very helpful with any issues that may arise during its use. The interface is quite simple and leaves no room for doubt.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL does not allow data partitioning. It doesn't work too well with a large database. At first, it can be a bit complex to understand, but it usually becomes quite practical over time. With some tutorials, there shouldn't be any problems to start using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the MySQL database for all my application data as a user. MySQL provides an easy-to-use interface for performing database queries to read, update, create, and delete data. Its simplicity makes it quick to use.

What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to get used to it. It displays a lot of useful information about every table just one clic away. It is also very powerful when it comes to create of modify databases, allowing the user to do some things that were for me very difficult to do in just some steps, like database dumping.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the interface could get more beatifull. For example in Pycharm we have such an amazing palette of colours and that makes you use the software more instead another competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Database handling.
Quick DB to spin up
What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it a capable dB that can be easily spun up and ready to go quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very happy with it honestly, don't really have any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needing a back end nql type database and for me to request an nql server instance would take a while so this spins up quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it's great for testing. We haven't seen haw it is for scaling but based on our experience so far I am sure it's great!
Fantastic Open source database
What do you like best about the product?
its free and stable, works as expected. easy installation on linux via rpm and easy to manage. backup and recovery all good
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing really it does what it says on the tin if oracle had not bought the MYSQL then it would have been a great technology.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage and retrival of relational data.

Please start using it for your non critical business applications you will get used to it

The best about MySQL is that it's free, supported by a large community, it's fast and has a lot of features.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL does not have more advanced features like Secuences, advices or monitoring.

Small relational SQL databases can be handled with ease using MySQL.

All the options it has for the user, read, write and develop. Its easy to use and easy to implement.

I dont have any dislikes about this product, i have use it for years and it fullfills all its needit.

Im using it as the Data Base for comunications betwen a XMPP server and the clientes.

Good Low-cost Starter database
What do you like best about the product?
It's low-cost and easy to configure and set-up. It's a good starter SQL database to learn SQL database and used for small applications. The documentation is user friendly and well organized. It's also good for organizing data among different users within the same database.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time processing large data like index creation. Performance can be slow when processing large amount of data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helpful when testing new functionality or new projects that doesn't require large data for processing. This is usually done in our development environments.
