Great products, we could use more education on how to leverage and create a user group internally
What do you like best about the product?
Feature and functions are well done and designs are very easy to use...all around very high quality tools but issue is helping us become experts
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably a shared responsibility internally....too much focus on sales and not enough on teaching users how to fall in love with it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outages, outages, outages.....our largest issue is systems performance and stability across all aspects of a solution end-to-end and this tool goes a long way to aid that

CONSIDER EDUCATION AND ROLLING OUT THE TOOL NOT JUST THE FEATURES, PRIOCES AND SUPPORT. I AM FINDING THAT THE TOOLS ARE VERY GOOD BUT MY OWN OPRGANIZATION IS NOT LEVERAGING TO THE FULEST EXTENT

Purepath technologies to drill down to issues .

Not been able to capture code within the method hotspot

Root cause analysis.. Helps to be proactive about issues that will eventually cause a problem in our environment

I believe its a great tool to help reduce downtime because of the speed of identifying problems quicker

Powerful and versatile functionality. Lots of measures and metrics available. Engaging and useful dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
With power and versatility comes complexity. Not difficult to become productive, but takes quite a bit to become expert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a consultant, several of my customers have used Dynatrace to detect, identify, diagnose and resolve performance and reliability problems.
Great tool with amazing coverage
What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity of the tool. You can turn it on and it auto sets up and starts reporting data through self analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times we have difficulty turning the DEM on and off in our Docker environments
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are helping with analysis of slow moving applications and determing how much is from our code vs client side machines

I would recommend this tool in that you will see things which were so hidden you didn’t know they existed

AI powered, Simplified GUI, Integration with on-prem PAAS like RedHat Openshift

Hosted application deployment at times fails which results in missing monitoring data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to integrate Dynatrace with Red Hat Openshift for a complete container monitoring and injecting it into DevOps pipeline. Also with the AI implementation we are working towards Shift Right and Self Heal implementation.

This is the most comprehensive, easy-to-install solution for system-wide performance monitoring, management, problem isolation and remediation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much - perhaps it could also make me a cup of coffee?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the misinformation and cross-purpose communication during problem escalation in our operations team. Having a single system that correlates and analysis all the system information and proposes exper-level suggestions to help the staff learn and resolve problems is absolutely essential to our work.

Think about your comprehensive problem and challenge space - what features will help not just technically, but also for your processes, collaboration, teamwork and management.

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace is a product that allows full stack and half-stack monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
It allows us to monitor java and .NET along with infrastructure components.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace allows us reduce outage time by giving us a clear view into our environment, which helps identify where the root cause of the problem may be.

Dynatrace is a good APM tool.

The product is very simple to setup and gain value with and support is easy to get ahold of and willing to work with.

The license structure makes additional purchases complicated

AI driven detection and tracking of end users, deep dive detection into issues, reports for management of availability times
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to break out technologies as individuals without doing hosts groups. Glitches here and there. Not being able to set environments as defaults, new users always get directed to the smaller test/dev/qa environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everything from host issues, to end user issues, to keeping our 3rd parties true to their SLA’s. Dynatrace has aterted us of issues and given us a head start to the point where that our APM team now has a 15min head start on the App Dev teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
DO IT!!! There is a learning curve but you will get there as every one has. It is most definitely worth it!

Learning curve for people coming from AppMon

Mostly User Exeperience with RUM. Significantly better insights that we didn’t have before.

Develop a strategy when deploying applications. Start with 1 or a few applications and build training for the teams involved first.
