What do you like best about the product?
The ability to show the flow of my page, find the long run times or errors or leak is awesome. As a web developer I think is a must have tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there a too much information, and you have to dig into them accordingly to find what oyu really need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On our framework we are facing some client perfomance issues, with Dynatrace we found the leaks and fix the accordingly.

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace is a high quality softwaee and very useful for web and server monitoring. The best part is its secure interface. It is very easy to implement and user friendly. We required minimum training to be able to use it efficiently.

It is not that great with mobile interface.

Dynatrace helped us detect actual issues and made issues management very simple

With the use of dynatrace, we were able to visualize our multicloud environment in much more detail.

What do you dislike about the product?
We find the collection agent a bit instrusive, we wonder if we can make it use less processing and consume less memory for machines with small flavor. Because it can generate overhead when used on machines with lower costs and limited resources. We believe that if we can choose which processes the agent will collect and how it will collect, it makes it much easier to monitor consciously.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many environments in the cloud, and as a result, we can not give all alarms all the time. With Dynatrace, we have been able to focus only on the important alarms and have debug the problem by the panel itself, nor do we need to enter the host operating system.
Now we just need to equalize the issue I mentioned above, so that we can adopt along with a good licensing agreement to use Dynatrace 100% in our company.
We plan to resell the solution to our internal customers, just as we do with cloud solutions and other services.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to deploy, easy to manage, install agents on the machine and cross-platform support. if you have a multicloud environment, this tool is perfect to have an overview and to follow each particularity closely.
We were able to test with our Azure, Amazon Web Services and Openstack environment. All worked perfectl.

Excellent in application production monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
intercepts each and every request using Pure path terminology. Ability to dril down any particular request and see the components details like database, web requests, errors and exception etc. Display all the executed methods from code as it is along with the database queries utilized. Easy to detect the error request by filtering with time slots, purepaths and database. Great product overall.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search functionality needs to be more effective in terms of searching different factors. It is yet not available at whole dynatrace level.

Application monitoring in production. Identifying the critical issues and their root cause through dynatrace.

This is a very good tool and life line for critical application issues in productio.

I can get the exact error log trace with timestamp which helps me identify the issues

I couldn’t get it to install on my mac, i had to use windows machine to work on dynatrace

What do you like best about the product?
Displays the current activities perfectly using different graphs. Configurable dashboard for the application. Ability to apply filter on purepaths and time slots.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transaction analysis takes considerable time. Can not locate a purepaths on the basis of particular database column value. Web request does not show the particular failed transaction.

Production monitoring and analysis. It has provided greater abilities to research production issues.

Very good production monitoring tool. I used many but really there is no more efficient system available than this.

What do you like best about the product?
I use this tool as an end user and for me it is one of the best software through which it is possible to find errors both in terms of performance of the various web servers behind a VIP and to find out during transactions with http protocols and is very useful to perform in-depth analysis, until find a single web service that does not respond correctly.

a lot of waiting time between one report and another to solve problems in real time

We are using this to find and troubleshoot issues with our applications, whether they are application issues with IIS issues, or network issues.

What do you dislike about the product?
Data overload. High learning curve. AppMon has a lot of manual configuration. Due to license cost, adoption is slow even though benefits have been realized with a few of our application teams.

Using Dynatrace to solve complex app problems especially during development and even recently during production.
Benefits realized have been getting to root cause and detecting issues that we wouldn’t have been able to see with other tools and getting to resolution quicker.
