What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace provides transparency to your organization as to what is occurring at the service level
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind. Perhaps more aggressive pricing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Production issues with applications. Really seeing what was going on with an app to be able to resolve much quicker
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would consider their ease of use and install as well as looking at their short term roadmap

What do you like best about the product?
That the product is easy to deploy and immediately usable.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it is still necessary to try and get agreement with other teams in order to release company wide
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MTR and proactive monitoring to be able to find issues before they happen.

Get all teams together and create process and governance before implementation

What do you like best about the product?
There is not tool like Dynatrace in regard to its ability to pull together so much data across your enterprise. It also provides an AI engine to highlight where the problems are. So the days of digging through data are over.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to get the data out of Dynatrace. The API is a little cumbersome as there are two versions and you have to hunt to find out which of them will supply the data you need. If the user experience data was not purged then you could probably do with their dash-boarding which was weak initially but is continuously improving
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Critical incident analysis and remediation, SLA mgt, improving user experience. Using this tool has shortened the amount of time it takes to discover a problem. Several times it told us of issues we didn't even know we had. The user experience metrics are helping us to improve the response times of our applications

One Stop shop for all your APM needs

What do you like best about the product?
We started our journey with Dynatrace 10 years back and from then there was no looking back on the information that was needed to support the production incidents and performance testing. We have interacted with multiple APM vendors and in my experience dynatrace was one stop shop for all performance engineering needs. We are looking forward to the new features that are being added to the product roadmap and how its going to revolutionize the Performance monitoring and AIOPS space.
What do you dislike about the product?
None. All Looks good. The product is going in the right direction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to instrument and gather the Stack Track with very least overhead on the Application Performance
What do you dislike about the product?
instrumentation data is not retained for more than 30 days. Could be better to have historical data in place
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real user monitoring metrics
Identifying underlying performance issues with pure path stack trace
Gather CPU and memory profiling info on the hosts

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to narrow down and/or pin point issue related to application crash or performance issue
What do you dislike about the product?
ability to audit who made config changes in dynatrace envt and consolidate view on configuration of all hosts. every host has to be checked individually

peformance, poor coding, performance

Dynatrace will be tool of future which provides helps lower down MTTR in cloud and on-prem installs

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of the interface, the assistance from the vendor. Great documentation and great implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently they dont have much Hyper-V support. I would also like to see more involvement on the Citrix software

Application Monitoring, Infrastructure monitoring, and real time data.

Implement this into your environment as fast as possible. Great product.

Like the proactive ability to monitor and alert problems before users are affected. Also easy to integrate with other core tools.

UI is very busy and hard to navigate without training

What do you like best about the product?
From an Ops perspective, Dynatrace has more than exceeded out expectations. Gone are the days where Infrastructure was first to blame for everything - Dynatrace provides a clear visualization of where problems lie and even suggests possible resolution. Empowering our users - from devops to marketing; management to procurement- to self-service has also freed up resourcing that can be better spent elsewhere. So great!
What do you dislike about the product?
When we inititally got Dynatrace the free logging features were great. Now, you have to ship logs to the cluster for full analysis at a cost. This is a show-stopper for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outages related to deployments/configs
the ability to prove end-to-end visibility to show when infrastructure is and isn't an issue
proactive site improvement based on waterfall analysis and seeing patterns
solving issues before the clients notice

Licensing model for large enterprises can be a bit difficult.
