Giving insight of performance and problems that have customer impact. Session replay!

lack of Reporting abbilities and to much clicking to get there

What do you like best about the product?
I would say the AI feature. There are a few aspects of appmon that we wish they would build into the product but overall it is a very good product. The dashboards are pretty nice also.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that it lives on a unix platform and the fact that to put tagging you have to do it at the agent level instead of in the gui. I think tags are the biggest issue at our company. I would also say the price of the product is a dislike. it is a fairly expensive product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we are trying to solve performance issues with applications and do application monitoring. We also use it for the purepaths to help developers out to troubleshoot their applications. This is a very handy tool in help with development efforts for performance issues within applications. The dashboards and AI greatly help with this also and would highly recommend to any company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
yes i would recommend it to others . I do like the AI feature in the product and the dashboards are great. The security in the product is great too allow you to segment different type of users to certain servers by using AD groups. This was greatly missed in appmon which we previously deployed. The product is pretty expensive but it is very easy to use once you become familiar with the tool. at first it is a little overwhelming but after a while you will get a hange of the tool.

What do you like best about the product?
With Dynatrace we monitor what's the exact experience the user is having on our website. Is also possible to record the user sessions so that we can replay that session and check if something went wrong.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some aspect in using Dynatrace that can be improved like the error alerting that alerts even for error caused by robots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Dynatrace we're always able to check the performance our website is having in terms of visually complete. We'are also able to fix in a few hours critical error not catched by quality assurance.

Dynatrace delivers enterprise-class APM!

What do you like best about the product?
We have been very happy with the ease of installation and use of Dynatrace as a APM tool. The Dynatrace OneAgent client is easy to install on both Windows and Linux servers. Creating synthetic application monitors is also very straightforward. Dynatrace is giving us a lot more detail for troubleshooting application issues in one pane of glass. The Dynatrace console is SaaS based - which is very nice so we don't have to manage more servers and services on-prem.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any major dislikes with Dynatrace so far. We would like it to differentiate itself more with cloud monitoring for Azure resources, but other than everything has gone quite well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of our critical, customer-facing applications are getting monitored via Dynatrace so that we can monitor performance and be proactive about any issues that arise. One key benefit of Dynatrace is having the ability to identify the issue and deep-dive into the application stack from one tool to shorten the troubleshooting time to determine the root cause analysis faster.

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace platform is easy to installation and configuration. Cluster resilience is something i never meet before on the market. Several mechanism guarantee enterprise resilience under heavy traffic (load reduction) and easy cluster update addition new node
AI engine for proactive incident management, root cause analysis. Out of the box solution with a lot of metric, function to analysis both infrastructure / application hot spot.
Born for E2E monitoring, cloud and devops can be integrated via API with ICT tools.
Customer UX analysis
A deep dive in the tool philosophy is necessary in order to have the correct mindset to set medium/long term goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost model is not so flexible to cover enterprise company needs at the moment but they 're working on. If you need to split licence cost base on monitored asset in a distributed environment is not possible to manage cost split / control out of the box but you must create your dedicated reporting outside the tool in order to fit "basic" needs.
Reporting feature for governance functions /administrator/application owner are limited. To cover this use cases you must use API and develop your custom solution.
App solution has limited functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynatrace can help from several prospective:

reduction of numbers of tool use for monitoring moving all in one Application covering all your infrastructure layers
real time data analysis and AI root cause analysis
Full E2E monitoring: new data for business and customer UX monitoring
boosting incident management process
identify system/application slowdown before they become service interruption
monitor site availability
Drive digital transformation and ITIL process improvement (incident / change Management)

My recommendation is to have a clear "big picture" about use case to be covered in order to use the platform at the best base on the NoOps /AiOps philosophy otherwise will be only "another tools" in your asset portfolio. Minset change is mandatory from APM series 2.0 to 3.0 in order to boost digital transformation and boost your business.

Be in mind NoOps / Aiops in term of proactive path

Great tool to analyze complex performance issues

What do you like best about the product?
Great toolkit, quick and solid provisioning.
Helped a lot in diagnosis of a complex performance issue with multiple parties involved.
Even with only the possibility to monitor the client side, we could easily show that there is a performance issue and use the log data to help the involved providers solve the issue.
Once rolled out, Dynatrace works stable and no issues have occured in running the solution.
The amount of existing features and possibility exceeds expectations and current requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
Commerical process took much longer than expected. Probably the start in the summer holiday season was a reason for that, however for a digital product I would expect an offer much quicker.
Unfortunately during the trial and when trying to take over the setup to the subscription, the instance got lost and we had to start from scratch again.
Pricing scheme is rather difficult to understand and forecast when you start. The pricing scheme has changed and in my opinion it wasn't simplified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Java-based application that connects to an externally managed and hosted mainframe, the application is serviced by another party, connection through a VPN. All regular trouble shooting failed, with everyone claiming that the problem must be some other component.
We use this to verify user claims on application perfomance, and also to address issues before the user complains.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Invest time in a POC and try to understand pricing for your environment at an early time.

What do you like best about the product?
It has been an efficient platform for working in professional ways. It helps us in analyzing the previous production related issues. It has brought great revolution in making the monitoring job quite easier. This is perfectly designed tool for monitoring user trend on the landing page as well as email clicks. There is also availability of email alerts if users face problem in opening link or landing page. Its graphical format is very easy and understandable.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the begging I found this tool very complicated but after some association with it I got to know that it is the advanced kind of APM solution. Also it is very cost effective tool which is the good point for all users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is all in one tool for performing multiple tasks effectively such as monitoring end to end applications as well as various mobile applications. It also makes us aware where the software needs further improvements. So overall I am having outstanding experience with this tool.

I am having overall excellent experience with this software. I would like to suggest this to those companies which are looking for an efficient and effective kind of APM software. It will surely meet your requirements.

What do you like best about the product?
I am having outstanding experience with Dynatrace. It is playing a vital role in monitoring various services effectively. This tool is playing a very significant role in core businesses for tracking the exact growth of business and to know the ongoing performance. It is found to be helpful for the developers in tracking the shortcomings that can be overcome by applying new techniques. I love the way it makes the whole calculations at the back-end and gives the detail and accurate results on the screen. Only this tool has strong capability to know the exact root cause of system problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing which irritates me is that tool takes much time in displaying transactions due to which much of the precious time gets wasted. Otherwise it is doing a great job. I do not have any major complain that I have to mention here.

The best thing about it is that it is incredibly easy to install as well as deploy. It has brought much uniformity in monitoring several business operations. This is very helpful tool as it helps us in viewing the right paths.

What do you like best about the product?
This is a platform that allows a fully automated supervision with artificial intelligence that provides a better vision through reports of each application, transaction and user. It also has tools and functions that are easy to use and configure to get the best performance and query analysis or tracking from this platform. It has a good and organized interface which is ideal for browsing without problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
our experience has been good and without any problems, however, improvements must be made to provide and guarantee us an analysis with the desired information, and a more complete analysis. The reports have been a bit lacking in information, we would like something more complete. The platform could be better than it already is, this does not mean that it is bad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this platform to monitor the entire business system. We track applications in the cloud, so we can monitor the entire internal and external system, in addition to its performance. We can obtain the information through reports and discover the exceptions that occur within our applications. It is easy to use, it gives you information quickly, without a doubt, artificial intelligence helps to have faster results, obtain a deeper visibility. Its tools and functions provide a more fluid work such as automatic detection when there is a problem, it sends an alert to our ITOC team so that we can investigate what happens and solve quickly, we are very happy with the results.

Dynatrace is ideal when you have problems in some of the applications and need to identify, also to review customer complaints with their particular applications. It allows us to make changes to provide and guarantee a better service and experience to our customers. Thanks to the reports we obtain and in addition to the tools and functions provided by this platform, our work has been more fluid and we have saved a lot of valuable time, totally recommended.
