Problems could be solved using best cloud solutions and engineering solutions benefits would be to reach that milestone to achieve desired goal and employees can learn new technologies

What do you like best about the product?
One thing that stood out is the ease of use and having my data accessible and being able to integrate various tools like Tableau Server to help visualize and analyze the data with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was bothered by the fact that I'm not able to migrate the data from one cluster to another as whole schemas instead of exporting the data into an S3 bucket using select statements and then importing that data into the destination cluster which caused multiple issues with some timestamp values in some tables, But I managed to work around this issue by changing the Data partitioning mode to node partitioning.

Vertica is playing a huge role in the collection, storage and analysis of data that are pouring in from multiple sources. the company is accessing its data instantly and we can put plans in action to address issues before they appear thanks to the data stored in Vertica which is allowing us to monitor and predict trends

You can find vertica in almost every popular cloud services. Amazon web service, Google cloud platform and microsoft azure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vertica optimizer for query handling is not as great as other leaders. You need to know ahead of projection and sql query then only it makes sense to use it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing EDA and gap analysis in vertica is fairly straightforward.the best thing is that we dont require to transfer data from one data warehouse to vertica to use it. Hdfs support is great. One tip is to use vertica in two different modes for project management . You can always makes use of both storage and compute engine using a single mode also.

You can use it without the need to data transfer from your traditional data warehouse

bit complex to learn, there are too many new concept as compare to traditional RDBMS

We are using vertica for implementing OLAP data warehousing system, I love Flex table feature of vertica

What do you like best about the product?
I like it most because it's different from all other regular database. It's a columnar database while others are row based. So searching is easy if DB size is very huge.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's little bit costly compared to other Db.

I was using it for data mining. We were using mostly for creating report. It was very quick.

I can recommend to other users if they want quick output but their budget should also be high.
Smooth data management but could be better.

It makes ETL pipeline integration easier. Provides data security and faster data preparation.

Data size limitation and pretty expensive when dealing with large datasets.

Vertica is very good in case of huge transactions. We can easily manage vertica servers.

Environment is too good. The way to design the vertica architecture is awesome and we can easily get the health of vertica systems.

If any disasters, recovery is bit slow. I have observed only one issue, nothing else.

I have recovered vertica servers many times. Main benifit is monitoring is too good compare to other big data solutions
