What is most valuable?
The most valuable features of pfSense are security, user-friendliness, and helpful online management.
What needs improvement?
It was difficult to configure our web printer through the solution. This process could be easier. Additionally, integration with SD-WAN solution.

What do you like best about the product?
Open source and inbuilt IPS/IDS system. Also Firewall rule are easy to manage
What do you dislike about the product?
Max bandwidth is around 5GB. Should support a complete 10G network.

It is benefiting organizations to manage their Internet Distribution and management with their own choices mold it according to your needs.

Ce n'est pas tout à fait aussi fiable que certains des fournisseurs haut de gamme. Cisco IOS est fondamentalement à toute épreuve. J'ai aussi eu de mauvaises expériences avec le matériel Netgate. Mais on ne peut pas comparer le rapport qualité-prix.

J'avais besoin de garantir un temps de disponibilité par rapport à mon environnement précédent (beaucoup de correctifs) et j'avais également besoin d'un système capable de faire OpenVPN plus rapidement que mon routeur autonome.

Firewall and IDS/IPS
Great OS and flexibility, hardware not as reliable
What do you like best about the product?
Control and visibility of traffic rules and data. Easy to configure rules and settings. Not bound to hardware and configuration can be easily ported to different hardware.
What do you dislike about the product?
The negate hardware has been unreliable. Would not use in remote distant areas due to failures and difficulty for an average user/remote hands restoring the appliance.

Geoblocking countries we are not in business with, DNS control and visibility, granular firewall rules, aliases, Snort, pfblocker, DNS, and VPN with relative ease.
