Fantastic service that provides multiple functionality
What do you like best about the product?
CMP is a great service that allows us to have an overall view of our envionments both public and private and be able to extend and ease our managability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides to CMP is the security side of things, not that it is not secure. But more reassuring customers their data is safe. But the same can be said for most public cloud services too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most beneficial aspect of CMP to me and my team is the ability of self provisioing instances, whether that be VMs or applications.
I only heard from you so I would buy Data module. No news since then and no cost savings achieved.

If anything, preventing some audit gaps. Cost out never came as promised, too much effort

Your lack of commitment. Only contacting us to sell more and no follow up

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud Management Platform (CMP) provides the potential to manage usage in multiple clouds that meet our use case requirements and provides scriptable interfaces that we can leverage.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of our researchers leverage credit programs from the suppliers. That means billing is at best unconventional, and so while it's possible to get accounts hooked up in CMP, usage is fuzzier, and management policies based on usage are harder to implement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've able to prototype jobs to see what clouds cost to get typical workflows completed, and then provide that to our users in a kind of comparative shopping page. CMP provides the potential to initiate those instances and monitor them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think about what's important in terms of provisioning and managing instances, what orchestration you need, what kinds of networking considerations you may have.

What do you like best about the product?
They way rightscale is implemented, it really helps managing services at cloud in a really organised and simple way. I think Flexara's solution to approach the problem is neat. I really like some of their features like server-arrays, Alerts etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
CATs in itself is a very useful concept but lack of documentation and community support, sometimes make it difficult to debug the issues. I love the feature of CWF console but it does not always help.
Also, I feel the quality of support has degraded from past few months.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are having a service architecture with multiple micro-services and stacks running both in engineering and production environment. CMP helps in easily managing these microservices in a cleaner way.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick deployment of the CATs and great support on issues. This includes documentation, FAQs and on call or email support.
What do you dislike about the product?
i have to learn almost a new language for deployment. Debugging is not easy as it was on any IDE like Eclipse. Plus searching for issues online is very difficult. Onboarding a new member of the team needs easier way. There should be portals for new bees to learn , practice, view videos and see how easily can they be onboarded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
quick deployment and a standard way of managing nodes and servers which a support team can manage without any tech knowledge.

SUpport (FAQ's, Tutorials) and ease of onboarding

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud Management Platform is really stable and can serve lots of deployments. In my company, we've given cloud access to each developer (total : 1000+) to have their individual product install on Cloud and they are able to deploy, develop and troubleshoot our proprietary application using Cloud Management platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we operate on a very large scale, we do face issues with some deployments. Sometimes we are able to resolve the issue but at other times we are not. If there are issues with a high priority deployment on which many users/teams are dependent, then it becomes challenging to explain to stakeholders and causes loss of time for multiple teams during re-try.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to replace our company data center and use Public Cloud with help of CMP. Engineering as well Production users are using deployments spun up using this platform and it is supporting us greatly in enabling our customers to use the product we build.
Solid Flexible Platform That Simply Works
What do you like best about the product?
This product has allowed us to expand on who can build out new environments and significantly shorted the time from request to successful completion. This product has allow administrators to make better use of their time and developers more time to work on their projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool has reset expectations of many users so when configuring in our private cloud environment we sometimes run low on resources. This is simply a byproduct of increased productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to is this CMP tool to do more than just build VMs. We also have if configured to install and configure several different software applications.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy multi cloud management with easy multi cloud integration. Deployment, server templates and arrays concept are great for reusable infrastructure.

Sometimes the support is clueless about some issues

It helps with deployment in all environments making sure all servers are configured the same

What do you like best about the product?
FNMS cloud was good compare to on prime why because of all the back end process will tack care by Flexera.
What do you dislike about the product?
upgradation every 6 months. is there any possible to update the patches like windows update. why because of Beacon and agent upgrade will take time.

Non-Windows agent installation facing issues but we identified the two methods of solution.

What do you like best about the product?
Rightscale is like a swiss army knife for managing public cloud providers. One tool does it all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI needs some update and rendering time can be faster.
