Flexera review
What do you like best about the product?
Flexera is very good tool, it supports huge range of vendors and allows multiple customizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Huge tool without good support, they basically sell something which requires a lot of work to configure but technical documentation is not perfect,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flexera is able to solve lack of licensing data problem and fullfill it by getting right data using Flexnet agents and than normalizing them with multiple other sources like (VMVare, IBM, SAP) which finally gives a very good reporting baseline. With that baseline, flexera support with good reporting engine, which allows to make persoalized reports basically by everyone.
Flexera is the best SAM solution
What do you like best about the product?
is able to deal with most of the publishers, if not yet recognized the engineering staff will help to set it up.
What do you dislike about the product?
SAM is a very complex world, i wish all D&E consumption could be in Flexera one and not just FNMA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
unix like compatibility, oracle and IBM publishers' recognition and consumption configurations

Flexera One is a feature-rich Technology Value Optimization platform. It originated in the Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) space and has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of the industry. The platform has expanded into areas such as FinOps, SaaS Management, Technology Intelligence, Compliance and Security, Cloud Migration, ITOM integration, data enrichment and normalization, and AI-powered solutions.
What sets Flexera apart is its comprehensive coverage of use cases and integrations. It offers the largest, most robust, and most complete technology intelligence and data normalization libraries on the market. It continues to grow in alignment with customer and industry demands.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when you have such a highly customizable solution, getting to the outcome you're looking for requires more knowledge / effort than the average person has. Thus, requires additional help / services to get there. But the overall value of the outcome in the end (and continued outcomes), eclipses any investment made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flexera One helps us optimize technology spend and avoid compliance risk for hundreds of customers, for thousands of publishers, on a daily basis.
Streamlined Software Compliance and Inventory Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Flexera One is easy to navigate and well-structured, making day-to-day use smooth and efficient.
The implementation process was straightforward, and integrations with systems like CMDB, SCCM, Intune, Azure AD, vCenter, ServiceNow, and SaaS applications were seamless. It brings together license counts, active users, and usage patterns into one clear, accurate view.
The platform is packed with features that we use frequently for asset tracking, license optimization, and compliance reporting.
Customer support is excellent—responsive, knowledgeable, and always ready to help—which makes the overall experience even better.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, the user interface is well-organized and easy to navigate, but once in a while (about once a month) the system experiences a short lag of around 15–20 minutes. While performance is otherwise good, the documentation could be improved with clearer explanations of what each detail or field means. The support team, however, has always been very responsive and helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flexera One makes us audit-ready, easy to maintain, and simplifies license tracking. It supports cost optimization, reduces manual work, and provides clear visibility into assets and usage across multiple platforms
Best Software Asset Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
FlexeraOne gives me a single, reliable view of all our software assets, whether on-premises, in the cloud, or SaaS. The data accuracy and depth are impressive — I can drill down from high-level dashboards to granular usage details in seconds. I also appreciate the automation in license reconciliation, which saves hours of manual effort and reduces compliance headaches. The integration capabilities with other IT and procurement tools make it easy to fit FlexeraOne into our existing processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool is powerful but has a steep learning curve. Some reports need extra customization to get exactly what you need, and the UI could be more intuitive. Data updates can also take a while with large datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It automatically tracks license entitlements and consumption across vendors, reducing audit risks and saving us from potential penalties.

Flexera One - Cloud FNMS with room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Inventory: The Flexera Agent works well and reliably. The rollout was relatively smooth and worked well on most platforms right away.
Data Sources: Various data sources can be connected, such as the Adobe Admin Console or the Microsoft Portal, to further enrich the data in the tool.
Scalability: Since Flexera One runs in the cloud as opposed to FNMS, the tool can be scaled more easily and new environments, such as test or encapsulated systems, can be quickly set up.

What do you dislike about the product?
SaaS Management: The SaaS management, as with many other providers, does not yet seem mature. There are connectors similar to those from USU that can connect specific portals. However, the data is often not really usable. So far, there is no meaningful SaaS Discovery.
Migration to Cloud: Especially at the beginning, it was noticeable that Flexera One was simply a weakened porting of FNMS to the cloud. As a result, the depth that FNMS offered was not present. However, this is being improved step by step.
Authorization Management: In my opinion, the rights and roles concept is not yet mature. I wish for more granularity in rights assignment, especially for complex organizational structures.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest problem is the lack of transparency within the IT landscape. Flexera One helps us to establish transparency over our software assets, monitor usage, and respond accordingly if there are any anomalies. Furthermore, there is a lack of documentation about our licenses/license proofs and contracts, which we can also map in Flexera One and link accordingly with our software assets. This way, we benefit from more transparency over our commercial and technical data.

What do you dislike about the product?
- UI partly unclear: With large amounts of data, navigation in some modules is not always intuitive.
- Initial complexity: The variety of functions requires a lot of initial familiarization and a clear internal role distribution.

Gold Standard in Software Asset Management
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is well though out and provides intuitive navigation and functionality. It allows for real-time tracking and management of overall license positions and provides immense value in measuring compliance for many of the large software vendors. Very easy to integrate with other platforms such as ServiceNow and create a robust data feed and repository. The tool is utilized daily and is a great investment for value provided in the information it provides. The customer support is top notch and the representatives are very helpful and great at answering all types of questions. The implementation of the tool was fairly straight forward and there are many helpful reference guides online. For those companies looking to better proactively manage their software license estate, there is no better offering on the market than Flexera. The tool has a very robust out of the box report library as well as endless options for creating custom reports to suite your company's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain features and functionality is locked behind additional license cost. More complex license models are not fully automated and still require offline spreadsheet creation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing our company to closely monitor and measure compliance for our highest cost/risk software vendors.
Leader of the pack
What do you like best about the product?
Visibility to the underlying recognition libraries is a distinguishing feature.
Great documentation for connection of data sources, and support from Flexera if you need it, have made implementations easy.
Being able to quickly show where savings can be achieved surprises many.
The FlexeraOne platform is the yardstick that other tools are measured against.

What do you dislike about the product?
More explainer documentation of how to realise value from the FlexeraOne platform is needed. Customers need to be advised up front that these tools are not silver bullets by themselves; change and activity in the business is required to actualise savings. Template action plans could be a step in this direction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an implementation partner, we sometimes look at customer use cases and advise on their tool selection if asked. The FlexeraOne platform is always a candidate.
