What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Flexera One is its flexibility. It allows you to customize policies, templates, and configurations based on your organization’s specific needs. This level of control makes it easier to align the platform with internal processes and compliance requirements.
Other things that I like about Flexera are-

Before using Flexera One, we were using CloudHealth to manage cloud costs. While CloudHealth offered basic cloud cost visibility, it lacked the depth and flexibility we needed across cloud environments.
Now, we can:
Track cloud usage across the entire organization
Identify underutilized licenses to optimize spend
Create custom policies and reports using Power BI
Gain real-time insights via the Cost Optimization Dashboard
This has led to better governance, cost savings, and stronger alignment between IT and finance teams.

Flexera One gives a unified view to manage cloud, on-prem, and SaaS with cost optimization, compliance, and actionable insights for proactive IT management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup is complex and insights rely heavily on accurate tagging, but once configured it delivers strong value and can be most effective tool for management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Flexera One is solving the challenge of fragmented visibility across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises resources. It centralizes cost data, improves license compliance, and provides actionable insights that help reduce spend and strengthen governance.
FlexeraOne is the best all around ITAM tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
Flexera can show license information details about on-prem and cloud software, making the life of a SAM manager easier, rather than relying on many disparate resources. I use Flexera regularly and am working to get more and more software vendor information into Flexera, to make the lives of others a bit easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Flexera can take a while to integrate properly. Not all the connections can be done in the same manner, and the creation of custom licenses can take quite a long time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now our executive leadership can look at Flexera and our top software vendors, and understand how we are utilizing those software licenses, which equates to dollars well invested towards the revenue of the company, or identifies potential savings to be realized.

Flexera One stands out for its ease of use and ease of implementation, which makes onboarding smooth even for large organizations. The number of features is impressive, covering everything from software asset management to cloud cost optimization. I particularly appreciate the ease of integration with other enterprise tools, which reduces manual effort and improves data accuracy. The customer support team is responsive and knowledgeable, ensuring quick resolution of issues. Overall, the platform provides actionable insights that help optimize costs and maintain compliance, making it a tool I use with high frequency of use.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is powerful, the number of features can feel overwhelming at first, and some advanced functionalities require a steep learning curve. The initial ease of implementation could be improved with more guided tutorials for complex integrations.

Flexera One is helping us gain full visibility and control over our IT assets and cloud resources, which was previously fragmented across multiple systems. It solves critical issues like software license compliance, cloud cost optimization, and IT asset lifecycle management. By consolidating data into a single platform, it reduces compliance risks, prevents overspending, and improves decision-making. This has led to significant cost savings and better governance.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Flexera doesn't provide in-built reporting capabilities - Asset inventory reports, build your own bill report based on various bill dimensions, tag dimensions and rbd dimension, we always rely on policy templates which has its own limitations on the data size etc.
2. RI/SP recommendations not based on the customer actuals, cannot be tweak based on existing usage and recommendations date to exclude the usage from expiring reservations or SP plans to have more custom plan to buy reservations
3. Right size recommendations based on best size availability as per cost and performance. Policies require enhancements
4. Dashboard capability needs to be improved - to include cost and usage
5. RCA for the anomaly generated - unable to schedule cost spike alerts, dig into an anomaly to see more details - service, subcategory, operation, description etc.
6. Accounts status information
7. Difficult to manage so many credentials to run the policies.

I use it frequently, almost daily, and it consistently delivers reliable insights. The ease of integration with our existing cloud platforms and ITSM tools has made it a seamless part of our workflow. Plus, their customer support team is responsive and helpful whenever I need assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the ease of implementation to be a bit challenging at first. The setup process required technical expertise and wasn’t as straightforward as I expected. However, with the help of their excellent customer support, the process became much easier and smooth.
