What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax is one of our best partners and we have been working with them for many years. We use a hosted Solr and zookeeper to provide our DXP customers with search.

The service is very reliable and in the long time we have also faced some significant difficulties, which we have always been able to resolve quickly and reliably.

The colleagues from SearchStax are almost like colleagues in our own company, as the cooperation is very trustful.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my point of view, there is nothing to mention. Of course, nobody is perfect, but it's how you behave when a problem occurs and based on the past, we were well prepared with this partnership.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing and operating Solr and Zookeeper

What do you like best about the product?
Platform stability and superb customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Communication for support tickets is done through email which can make it difficult to share with the team or get them involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previous provider for managed Solr platform was unstable and had occasional downtime which in turn would affect the website. SearchStax offers the stability and reliability we needed to ensure consistent uptime of the website regardless of the traffic spikes.

What do you like best about the product?
I am using searchstax already many year and for multiple products. We never had huge issues. It is easy to setup/integrate and has many customization and fine tuning capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the price is its biggest drawback. It could be cheaper or have a more granular pricing model

What do you like best about the product?
Simple UI, clean & clear API documentation, easy-to-use dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of configuration options within Site Search javascript frameworks. It would be nice if the widgets could be extended to power search-based components other than site search. We have to create 100% custom components to achieve this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Search provider for multiple projects and platforms, both managed search and site search.

What do you like best about the product?
We've been using SearchStax for several years now, and they've proven to be an exceptional partner in managing search services for our website, which caters to over 4.8 million users. Initially, we managed our search infrastructure on-premise, which was very challenging due to both issues and a lack of internal expertise. However, since switching to SearchStax, whenever we've encountered a problem or opened a support ticket, their team has been incredibly responsive and provided the assistance we needed. The uptime of their service has also been outstanding.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides. The only feedback we have is for SearchStax to support the latest versions of Sitecore more promptly upon their immediate release.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SearchStax solves search infrastructure issues and lack of expertise, benefiting us with reliable service, quick support, and excellent uptime for our 4.8M+ users.

What do you like best about the product?
They have been a great partner with us when it comes to troubleshooting issues, reviewing our environment and helping us advance our Solr platform. We have great account managers to work with and Larisa has been our latest to help us through some current issues we have been having along with helping us optimize costs in our environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see some better integrations into our other enterprise platforms like DataDog or Splunk. Also, we still need to work through some costing on the new environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving to the new Solr environment without increasing costs and optimizing for better performance.

A Standout in a Crowded Field

What do you like best about the product?
Many products in this space are trying to be all things to all people. A search product doesn't also have to be a CMS and a page builder and one-stop-shop for all things digital. The SearchStax product offering is straightforward and high quality.

The SearchStax team is also very responsive. The time between first inquiry and call with their partnership team was a matter of days, where other companies didn't respond for weeks or still haven't responded. In every interaction since, we've felt supported – from calls with subject matter experts, access to documentation or the ability to ask dumb questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deprecating the Theme Editor seems like cutting off a potential entry point to new customers. Having a pre-built and fairly standard theme to start with is a great way to focus on the more interesting and nuanced aspects of search customization. I'd like to see the Theme Editor come back in some way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Producing a better end-user search product by allowing non-technical site managers to better tune the experience and give them control over output. Search management is no longer a black box that's owned purely by developers.

Great search product, supported by a great team

What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax has a full-featured technical stack. The team is continually working to mature and improve it with meaningful features and understandable analytics. There are multiple implementation options, from drop-in UX Accelerator code to custom apps driven by their API. The API documentation is clear and helpful. You can aggregate data from across a variety of architectures without expensive connectors for your integration. It's a great product for improving customer experience and content performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The crawler itself isn't as fast as some on the market so iterations on the crawler settings can take a little longer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SearchStax lets us build and manage an index from content repositories that are built using a wide variety of web architectures. Instead of having only site-specific search results on satellite sites and microsites, we can provide a prefiltered search experience or let the user open up the results to find matches from the entire network. We are able to make small meta data adjustments to our pages and provide users with even more filtering options (called Facets). This gives us lots of UI options when building a custom search experience, or wiring SearchStax into existing applications.
