What do you like best about the product?
Integration of both the platforms, the Teradata database which many companies know about it, together with the Aster analytics capabilities, makes a great software for companies that want to be in the next level of information technology platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess there are some few steps that must be achieved in order to have a complete the integration: the data scientists that I work with found some issues in one of the functions they use to analyze data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If a company have already the Teradata database, by getting this software company will find the good integration of data and start doing big data analytical project that can deliver services for their current processes or create other ways of the advantages of the data they have.

Fast data storage database
What do you like best about the product?
Teradata is a highly scalable database with massive parallel processing capability. This software has not shared any architecture that provides high-level data protection. Ad hoc requests are processed in multiple AMPS and are suitable for data warehousing applications. Parallel processing, scalability, and fault tolerance are part of its DNA, which is what I like most. When configured correctly, it is quite fast. The strategic direction of the company Teradata is very focused on Data Analytics, so I really believe it is the future. Teradata has always been a major key company in database technologies since the early eighties.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is quite a difficult application to use. There are no assistants to guide you through selecting data elements from various tables. You must know exactly what you need and where it comes from to be able to write an efficient query.
Queries sometimes take too long. The client they offer, Teradata Studio Express, is sometimes extremely slow and unstable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The database is easy to manage and quite efficient. Additionally, the provider has been extremely agile and has actively engaged in the suggested improvements for performance and scalability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good product. It depends on the application that will be used, but if massive data needs to be consulted and reported, then this software is the best. If the volume of data is not too high, this could be a high expense and there are other better alternatives.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Pricing ( Quite Expensive )
- When we started with Intellicloud, the support was just with selected US based AWS regions, now it is getting expanded globally.

Moving to cloud is always tricky and challenging. But with the help of Intellicloud support team, the move was easy, it helped to manage our overall costs in a big way.

If you are looking for powerful cloud based analytics solution, you can go for Intellicloud.

Can store trillions of data. Well defined amp structure to accomodate n number of users.

Expensive compared to the open source dbs available.

Required no indexing mostly and ease of use.can handle trillions of data sets. Performance is good.

Executing sql queries are way faster compare to oracle, amazing database for analytical queries

Teradata is not cost friendly compared to oracle but with high data volume, scalability & speed, TD is way better than oracle

Its fast and capable of handling heavy tables

The cost is very high for hardware, and the support takes long time, plus its little different than traditional SQL
