We did a project for the government. We deployed the Juniper Firewall on their premises. The solution is used for the security purpose of client infrastructure security. There are three types of zones: zone-to-zone-based policy, IPS intrusion, and other policies implemented there.

What do you like best about the product?
vSRX easily integrates with other systems. The backup feature encountered some errors initially. The ability to deploy firewalls in environments and the stateful firewall protection are truly impressive.

It has a learning curve that requires time and effort to fully understand and make use of all the products features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
vSRX is safeguarding our network against cyber threats by providing firewall protction. It has reduced hardware costs and simplified the network management processes. It is allowing us to concentrate on our goals.
A security purpose solution for client infrastructure security with simple deployment
What is our primary use case?
What needs improvement?
The graphical unit is slow. Also, Juniper vendor shipping of UPM devices, support, Bandwidth shift, and other activities are very complex.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Juniper vSRX for six months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Compared to the Palo Alto firewall and Fortinet firewall, Juniper has low stability. After deploying, I didn't face any challenges.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The solution is scalable. There's one client requirement to make an external firewall. There is no HA. We are focusing more on the user. We are working with Fortinet, Juniper, and Cisco teams to provide our clients with the best solutions. If the client is interested in Juniper, we implement that.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward. For deployment, we are using some networking devices for the routing. I deployed it in the firewall inline mode and created some zones for security purposes.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
People in Bangladesh, including the government and small businesses, have pricing issues.
What other advice do I have?
Many customers are using Juniper routers and switches, which has prompted another team to work with Office 365. I am only working on the Juniper firewall part. The technical side is almost the same, and the function is similar with respect to other competitors. Juniper deployment is not very complex, but Cisco deployment is very complex.
I recommend having a price and other comparison with Palo Alto and others.
Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Amazing Product for Network Security
What do you like best about the product?
The Juniper Secure Connect and Next generation firewall security capabilities with ease of integration with good quality customer support are the best ones I like in vsrx. It works similar to on premises firewall but in virutualized environment with great features .
What do you dislike about the product?
This product is good for small and medium scaled companies for integration but for big enterprise there is a room improvement in API integrations, Automation, implementation etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
vSRX improves overall security posture with next generation ip blocking , ddos , Intrusion prevention system which make this a wonderful product.

Stable solution with an easy initial setup process
What is our primary use case?
We use the solution as a site-to-site VPN gateway.
What is most valuable?
The solution's most valuable feature is the logical terminal interface. It helps us with monitoring VPNs. We get alerts and other notifications when in case of system downtime using it.
What needs improvement?
The solution's GUI needs improvement. Whenever we do some modifications, the systems get restarted. Thus, I have to use the command line interface.

I have been using Juniper vSRX version 13 as a customer for the last five years.

The solution is stable.

We have more than 20 to 30 site-to-site VPNs established using the solution.

Compared with the solution, Cisco ASA needs proper SNMP and MIB monitoring in case of IPSec VPN tunnel downtime.

Excellent tool for data security
What do you like best about the product?
Happy with cloud data protection and firewall tools. The smooth data encryption feature ensures that data is secure and always protected. Also, multi-factor authentication ensures data is in safe hands.
What do you dislike about the product?
API integration took a while, and this can be improved upon. The backup feature returned errors sometimes. However, it got resolved later. Would be glad if the product team takes a shorter turnaround time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me secure essential business data and protect it against unwanted outside intrusions. I can rely on these tools for my database management requirements. Especially happy with the deduplication feature, and I can deploy resources within the company on other vital aspects.

Most of the clients might choose Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet over Juniper because of the difference in pricing, quality, performance, ticket handling, and technical support.
What other advice do I have?
The product has a good market in our country. Juniper’s MX1000 and other series have firewall and routing features. However, in other products, the firewall and routing feature is separated. Most Juniper devices combine routing switches and firewalls on a single platform.
Overall, I rate the solution a six or seven out of ten.

Overall, I've always found Juniper's products pretty reliable and future-proof, and vSRX was no exception. vSRX was our standard firewall at a previous company, and not only did it perform up to standards, it also had the other advantage of being virtual. We were delighted with the product itself.

We found that service was pretty lacking when something inevitably went wrong with one of the devices.

It was the Firewall Software of choice at a previous company I worked for. After much consideration I believe the company went with Juniper's product due to their expertise in the area.

It seems that most of the problems were the device from management and not from support. We would spend a lot of time with support trying to solve the issue.
