Cloud platform enhances technical script execution and custom reporting
What is our primary use case?
I use OpenText LoadRunner Cloud primarily to run scripts and tests within our performance testing workflows.
What is most valuable?
OpenText LoadRunner Cloud’s features are technically similar to LoadRunner Enterprise or the standalone controller. However, a significant difference is in its depth of analysis. In the standalone LoadRunner analysis, I can merge graphs or set granular filters to obtain custom reports. Currently, LoadRunner Cloud provides direct custom reports, a feature that, if improved, might enhance our analysis. Another valuable aspect is the option to use JMX files, similar to JMeter scripts, with LoadRunner.
What needs improvement?
The analysis feature in OpenText LoadRunner Cloud requires improvement. In-depth analysis tools found in the standalone LoadRunner analysis, such as graph merging and setting granularity, would be beneficial. Additionally, handling JMX scripts in LoadRunner Cloud could be more comprehensive. It would also be convenient if there were options to convert scripts from competitor tools like NeoLoad to LoadRunner.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using OpenText LoadRunner Cloud for about one and a half years. Initially, I used it a year ago, had a gap, and then started using it again in the last six months.
What was my experience with deployment of the solution?
There is no difficulty in deploying OpenText LoadRunner Cloud from my perspective because a specific team in our organization handles the deployment of LoadRunner to our systems. We only use it once deployed.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
OpenText LoadRunner Cloud is extremely stable for our use case, and I would rate it a nine out of ten.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
OpenText LoadRunner Cloud is absolutely scalable. With load generators available, it is easily scalable to meet our needs.
How are customer service and support?
I have not interacted directly with OpenText support. However, based on feedback from colleagues, the support could be faster.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Neutral
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used NeoLoad in past projects, but currently, I use only OpenText LoadRunner Cloud.
What about the implementation team?
Our own organization has a team responsible for deploying all software, including OpenText LoadRunner Cloud. We did not rely on third-party services for deployment.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I have evaluated NeoLoad in my previous work assignments.
What other advice do I have?
I would appreciate documentation or some links to videos on AI-driven testing strategies with OpenText LoadRunner Cloud. I rate OpenText LoadRunner Cloud ten out of ten.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
Private Cloud
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
One of the best solution for performance testing requirements
What do you like best about the product?
We do use this product regularly before any major release. Very efficient and easy to use solution. Very simplified way you can generate reports and multiple users can easily access it. Multi protocol support is a plus point as other products has more dependency on web/http. It is reliable to predict app scalability, also integrated automation and monitoring tool helps alot. Administrators can implement it without much issue, as it's very easy to integrate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike. But things can be improved like UI/UX and funtions. Customer support also requires more improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do manage a large scale infrutracture and it really helps to monitor and manage it's performance. It can predict based on various load parameters which really helps administrators.
Great Performance Tool For Higher Virtual Events
What do you like best about the product?
I like the most that we can perform load testing in cloud with unlimited virtual user. As well as we can manualy record and can add other logic as well in script.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its test lab sometimes lag in between the execution. That is hard point to cover in next releases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using LoadRunner tool for performing load testing of our website, due to this tool, we could be able to find lot of issues due to hard load in aws systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Other than this, I would not recommend but JMeter tool is growing highly in the market, so it could compete with LoadRunner, but as of now, nothing is better that LoadRunner.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely, I will recommend this product for Integration in DevOps pipeline
Load testing made easy
What do you like best about the product?
all the scripts and test results are maintained on cloud. it saves the resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
technical challenges for loadrunner on cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy access across geographic locations. saves the reource
Recommendations to others considering the product:
try this and you will benefit from this.
Enables us to check response times for applications from locations around the world
We use it to get response times around the world for external applications. We use it on top of our own virtual users for remote site testing. We include it in our scenarios in our performance center and use the results in the LoadRunner analysis tool.
How has it helped my organization?
We can determine response times for our external applications, from most places around the world, for a small fee.
What is most valuable?
The most valuable feature is having load generators in countries where we don’t have access to them.
What needs improvement?
An area for improvement is analytics on why response times are slow from certain countries. Slowness can be caused by the laptop, the connection, the VPN, the internal network, the country's internet, etc.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
It has been stable every time I have used it. We don’t put much stress on it since we have our own performance center and load generators.
How was the initial setup?
In terms of integration and configuration of the product in our AWS environment, it is the easiest Micro Focus tool I have ever used.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is very reasonable and the licensing is straightforward.
You decide on the number of virtual users you will need to support multiple runs or for a year and purchase that quality of virtual-user hours. We chose to procure this solution via the AWS Marketplace because of remote site testing and low cost.
