Best tool for finding the loop holes in the network infrastructure.
What do you like best about the product?
This is an best tool for scanning the vulnerabilties and finding the missing patches in the network infrastructure, windows servers and linux servers it will scan with the credentials of each servers from the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the nessus that it takes more time to scan and also sometimes some vulnerabilities will show false positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
earlier we used to find manually for each servers using this tool no need to Scan the network devices , linux servers and windows servers manually.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommended to use this tool for others employees for scanning the vulnerabilities.

What do you like best about the product?
Tenable Nessus vulnerability Scanning tool helps to identify Vulnerabilities, Patches, Malware, Threats and etc. Nessus can work with windows and Linux operating systems over the web browser. Its ability to scan the PC, Servers, Data base.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not yet faced any issue yet when the scanning the systems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used following features on Nessus, scan and audit the known vulnerabilities and issues, versatile tool that can be used as outside of the company's firewall, deploy and configure and vulnerability database updated with the latest issues frequently.

Easy to run with automated rules for scan covering a huge range of Operating systems and versions, and with database systems and versions.

What do you like best about the product?
Nessus is a vulnerability assessment tool which is highly used in the industry. Nessus identifies vulnerabilities and provides a report about them. Nessus has a high detection ratio and low false-positive ratio. There are many preloaded configuration setups, templates, policies. Easy to learn and use. We can schedule our scans. A lot of plugins are available to ease our work. Nessus provides a detailed report about vulnerabilities. Provides advanced scanning features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that it does not provides accurate results when web application vulnerability testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think Nessus is easy to learn even for a newbie. I use Nessus to identify vulnerabilities and to analyse them. It provides a detailed report and suggestions to mitigate them. My work has been easy with the Nessus and most of the time it provides accurate results.

What do you like best about the product?
Nessus help to find the vulnerabilty in any kind of servers, network devices, firewalls and if any.
Also provide remidiation for mitigation process to fix vulnerability. It generated reports of PDF and excel type format.

Nessus is the best tool for vulnerabilty assessment. I personally wont see any downside of this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nessus performs vulnerabilty assessment for the server, network device and firewall. And generates reports. Nessus works offline is the benefits were I realized.

We have been using Nessus for few years. One of the most using vulnerability assessment tool. Nessus is easy to learn and use. It provides in-depth scanning facilities. It identifies vulnerabilities quickly and provides possible actions we can take. Also possible to schedule our scans. Many scan types are pre-loaded such as dynamic scans, network scans, host discovery, malware scans. There are many plugins available. Nessus has an extensive reporting feature and provides features to customize it. There are many pre-loaded policies and templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nessus professional license cost is quite high. Not perfectly working with Web application vulnerability testing. We had few issues when configuring Nessus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Nessus we can identify vulnerabilities and configure issues in the network and it provides possible actions we can take. Also provides detailed reports about issues. So it helps us to analyse the incident.

What do you like best about the product?
Tenable Nessus interested in evaluating for vulnerability scanning around our perimeter as well as our Cloud services. Nessus's capabilities to be robust and the reporting very clear for the on Premises infrastructure, the Cloud infrastructures, web based systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
With all features licensing cost is high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Tenable Nessus for comprehensive scans and reporting, for system audits and test the web based applications and web sites. Easy to start from basic level scan and get into a more complex scan.

Nessus have many plugins available for scan the various vulnerabilities.Its ability to scan static and dynamic asset lists is great including Windows, Linux servers, data base as well. It can schedule recurring scan jobs is helpful and aids in the scanning of systems.

Licencing cost is high with all the features.

I have using Nessus for Scan, Audit VM based and standalone servers and data bases including Windows and Linux as well. Also using Nessus easily we can find out vulnerabilities and then we reduce the time spent on finding them.

Best solution for Vulnerability Scans
What do you like best about the product?
Nessus is an extreme easy to use solution for vulnerability scans and policy compliance auditing we can easily do the scans just typing the IP and in policy compliance auditing we can run the policy compliance audits just providing the admin credentials. Nessus support different type of operating systems and databases according to CIS benchmark so it is hazel free solution for regular security checkups.

Need to improve the reporting structure of the Nessus reports should be more colourful simple and details directly present to the management.

I'm using Nessus for regular compliance scans of our internal servers and the find the Vulnerabilities of the servers.

What do you like best about the product?
I have used this to scan our servers, Db and OS. By using Nessus we can scan vulnerabilities. In our assignment, I have used this to scan servers in my university. The interface is attractive and easy to work. It gives us many options to scan such as policies advance scan, wanna cry and etc.

when first time installs the plugins it takes a long time other than that this is an amazing tool for security field persons.

It helps me to do our assignments and projects. we can save us time. when there is no Nessus we have to check manually. everything is simple with Nessus only thing we have to do wait and see what the result is.
