What do you like best about the product?
Jasper Reports offers strong scheduling capabilities. It supports automated report distribution through email systems in multiple formats, which is very useful for recurring reporting needs.
Reports can be exported in a wide range of formats such as PDF, Excel, CSV, and more. This flexibility makes it easy to share and integrate reports with other tools.

The UI feels outdated and less intuitive compared to modern BI tools like Power BI or Tableau. Non-technical users may find it challenging to navigate or create reports.
While the platform handles moderate data volumes well, performance degrades with very large datasets or highly complex queries. This can lead to slower report generation and higher resource usage.

Jaspersoft provides clear, detailed reports with helpful filtering and export options. Scheduling reports with input filters is easy, and the ability to export, save, and schedule in multiple formats makes it very convenient. Jaspersoft allows easy drag-and-drop to copy, cut, or move report elements. It also supports column-level filtering and lets you rename columns for better clarity. Supports multiple data sources including SQL, NoSQL, XML and Highly customizable reports with advanced features (subreports, parameters, scripting). it is easy to intergration moreover editing and creating input control and jrxml exporting support generated report. intergrating charts studio and server. easy to set permission with implementation also.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jaspersoft offers limited chart and visualisation options, and Slow performance when rendering or exporting large reports, export, or deliver via email and FTP.moreover getting larger number exception Multi-select input controls may show empty values at the top.

Jaspersoft providing a centralized platform to create, view, and share reports easily. It eliminates the need for manual data gathering and report creation, which improves efficiency and accuracy. Performance constraints may emerge when processing large datasets or complex reports, often necessitating additional backend optimization to achieve acceptable rendering and export performance. Furthermore, the platform’s visualization and interactive dashboard capabilities are limited, offering fewer self-service analytics features than tools such as Power BI or Qlikview. A steep learning curve and gaps in documentation can also slow user onboarding and issue resolution. Some times clients are fasing intrackable schedule email failer as well.

Jaspersoft is that its user interface can feel dated and less intuitive compared to modern BI tools, report design often has a steep learning curve—especially for non-technical users—performance tuning can be complex for large or highly dynamic reports, and advanced features or scalability typically require the commercial edition, which can increase cost and limit flexibility for some teams.

Jaspersoft solves the problem of delivering reliable, highly formatted, and embeddable reporting from complex data sources, which benefits me by enabling the creation of pixel-perfect, production-ready reports (such as invoices, statements, and compliance documents) that integrate seamlessly into applications, support diverse data sources, and provide consistent, scalable reporting without having to build and maintain a custom reporting engine from scratch.

While Jaspersoft is powerful, the learning curve can be steep, especially when working with complex report designs or custom expressions in JasperReports. The UI in Jaspersoft Studio can also feel a bit outdated and occasionally slow, particularly with larger templates. Additionally, debugging issues in report rendering isn’t always straightforward
