Best tool for generate pdf using snaplogic
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about jaspersoft is, easy to use, easly installed, performance is good and easy available on aws marketplace.
in our organisation there is snaplogic, what they do basically they generate the pdf for policy related thing with the help of jaspersoft using xml report.

so in our organisation we genrate document PDF for the policy claims and its integrated with the snaplogic and all document pdf we are storing in the aws s3 bucket

What do you dislike about the product?
While Jaspersoft is feature-rich, the learning curve can be steep for non-technical users, especially when designing complex reports or handling customizations via JRXML. Documentation can be inconsistent or outdated in some areas, requiring community forums or trial-and-error to resolve issues. Additionally, the UI of the JasperReports Server could benefit from a more modern and intuitive redesign. Performance can lag slightly when rendering reports with heavy visual components or large datasets.

Jaspersoft helps us solve the challenge of delivering dynamic, data-driven reports to both internal stakeholders and external clients at scale. Previously, generating custom reports required manual intervention or building ad hoc tools. Jaspersoft exposes APIs for managing reports, users, roles, scheduling, etc hence its easy to automate with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or JMeter . we can do Parameterization Testing , role based testing ,Scheduler testing.

The best part is the ability to design custom reports using Jaspersoft Studio with dynamic parameters and expressions. It integrates well into Java applications and supports fine-grained control over layout and data formatting.

While Jaspersoft is powerful, the learning curve can be steep, especially when working with complex report designs or custom expressions in JasperReports. The UI in Jaspersoft Studio can also feel a bit outdated and occasionally slow, particularly with larger templates. Additionally, debugging issues in report rendering isn’t always straightforward

Overall, the UI and UX needs a refresh and dashboarding capabilities can be made better but maybe the UI refresh may help
While executing a report multiple times it consumes more memory of server leading to slowness in report rendering.
Also the fact that there does not seem to be queuing for scheduled jobs which are executed at same time and it hangs the server

Experienced good support from Jaspersoft analysts. Reports are highly customizable and supports many formats with good control of layout and data presentation
What do you dislike about the product?
As a Product owner, it is less intuitive than some other reports available in the market, and has a bit of learning curve. The UI could be better and more modern.
