Effortless Report Scheduling and Outstanding Support
What do you like best about the product?
The tool has performed well for our customers, who appreciate how easy it is to schedule reports and have them delivered directly to their inboxes. Our software engineers also value how simple it is to customize the parameters to fit our customers' specific needs. Personally, I especially appreciate having access to our Customer Success Manager and Tibco Tech support whenever assistance is required.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface could use some updates, although we haven't upgraded to the latest version yet, so this may improve once we do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool enables our customers to schedule and generate reports that are relevant to inpatient nurse scheduling. It streamlines the process, making it easier for users to access the information they need.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Jaspersoft because it's easy to use, especially when it comes to creating reports. I find Jaspersoft Studio and the server helpful for dynamic report creation. The initial setup was also very easy for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Jasper Studio reporting tool could be improved with a better user interface. It would help if the navigation was easier.

I use Jaspersoft for internal and external reporting, solving reporting problems efficiently.

The biggest challenge with Jaspersoft is its steep learning curve—report designing in Jaspersoft Studio takes time to master, and the interface could be more user-friendly. Additionally, performance can lag with large or complex datasets.

Jaspersoft helps us consolidate reporting across multiple data sources and automate report generation, which saves significant time and effort. By embedding dashboards directly into our applications, our users get real-time insights without switching tools. This has improved decision-making and reduced the reporting workload for our IT team

What do you like best about the product?
I do like the Scheduling: Reliable scheduling and automated delivery of reports through multiple channels, Multiple export options (for users can use for their internal review and audit) along with Easy to export reports in formats like PDF, Excel, CSV, and others. Custom report creation is and outstanding experience for clients .

The challenges like struggles with large and complex datasets.
Large data handling : Query execution slows down significantly with heavy joins or big volumes, impacting usability.

From my personal experience, we have seen may of my clients are get an upper hand on their internal auditing and performance reporting. apart from the reporting Jasper supports visuals to create and share with required people to connive the information much more effetely.

The UI feels outdated and less intuitive compared to modern BI tools like Power BI or Tableau. Non-technical users may find it challenging to navigate or create reports.

Jaspersoft provides clear, detailed reports with helpful filtering and export options. Scheduling reports with input filters is easy, and the ability to export, save, and schedule in multiple formats makes it very convenient. Jaspersoft allows easy drag-and-drop to copy, cut, or move report elements. It also supports column-level filtering and lets you rename columns for better clarity. Supports multiple data sources including SQL, NoSQL, XML and Highly customizable reports with advanced features (subreports, parameters, scripting). it is easy to intergration moreover editing and creating input control and jrxml exporting support generated report. intergrating charts studio and server. easy to set permission with implementation also.

Jaspersoft offers limited chart and visualisation options, and Slow performance when rendering or exporting large reports, export, or deliver via email and FTP.moreover getting larger number exception Multi-select input controls may show empty values at the top.

With strong pixel-perfect reporting capabilities and configurable reports and dashboards through built-in editors, JasperReports Server is well suited for organizations requiring accurate, automated, and secure reporting.
From a visualisation perspective, Jaspersoft primarily delivers more traditional and static reporting. The user interface is relatively dated and less intuitive, which can make report development and navigation challenging for non-technical users. Performance constraints may emerge when processing large datasets or complex reports, often necessitating additional backend optimization to achieve acceptable rendering and export performance. Furthermore, the platform’s visualization and interactive dashboard capabilities are limited, offering fewer self-service analytics features than tools such as Power BI or Qlikview. A steep learning curve and gaps in documentation can also slow user onboarding and issue resolution. Some times clients are fasing intrackable schedule email failer as well.
