Reliable backup software
N2WS serves as a reliable backup and recovery solution built in the cloud, for the cloud and it offers cross-cloud capabilities with the ability to archive AWS snapshots to Azure Repository.
Good snapshot scheduler
I don't like to consider CPM a full and complete backup software. It's more like an upgraded snapshot scheduler for AWS. It serves it purposes and does it well. I can create, edit and manage my backup policies to create snapshots in whatever schedules I like. It's compatible with pretty much every relevant element on AWS and it's easy to use and upgrade. I'd like to use days instead of versions for the retention periods, so hopefully they add that in the future.
Overall, if you want a simple, functional and non-expensive tools for you AWS Snapshots, this is your tool.

N2WS Backup & Recovery is very easy to use and configure backup for AWS instances. Since it's deployed on AWS, it's very easy to use and gives multiple reporting features.
What needs improvement?
N2WS Backup & Recovery efficiently takes cloud backups on EC2 instances. The solution has the option to take backup on-prem servers, but it's not very efficient.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using N2WS Backup & Recovery for more than six years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
N2WS Backup & Recovery is a very stable solution.

How are customer service and support?
We have contacted the solution's technical support team, who are very helpful and help us solve our issues. If there are any product issues, they involve the development team to sort that out.

The technical support of N2WS has an amazing team. They are prompt in closing out issues and are responsive to emails.

The initial setup is easy.
What about the implementation team?
We have received help from the team of N2WS. The enterprise team told me how to go forward with the setup.
For maintenance, only one person is enough because basic algorithm, you can work with it.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I used the free version. I don't have much experience with the paid version. But I'm trying to compare the pricing between different options.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We're currently exploring our options. We are comparing N2WS Backup & Recovery with antivirus and Veeam. So, I'm trying to compare the features of the software.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, I would rate the solution a nine out of ten. I would recommend staying in contact with N2WS's team for help.

What do you like best about the product?
How quick you can backup and recover the data in AWS and compatibility with AWS S3 an Glacier
What do you dislike about the product?
individual item level recovery is not available for application items such as Microsoft Active Directory, SharePoint, SQL Servers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
N2WS directly integrates with AWS and doesn't require agents to take backup. Also, you can directly backup to S3 and Glacier which is not available with other systems.

Daily summary should show most recent 1st
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
N2WS makes backups much easier than using the AWS snapshots manually - much more automated with reports and a daily summary of jobs. Good granular scheduling. VPC backups are great. Can send snapshots to another account or region.

This should be one of your top choices for cloud backups.

The easy of use and the speed performing backups.

Maybe is a little expensive, but it is a lifeguard for our systems.

A great product to protect your AWS resources
What do you like best about the product?
The product, in general, makes it easy to backup and restore (especially important) your AWS infrastructure. The new GUI fixes a lot of issues, although these were minor and more annoyances than issues. I have used this product at two different companies and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not really much I dislike about CPM, well, maybe the new name. Old habits can be hard to shake. I've been using the product for a while so I'm used to it, which may make it a bit more difficult to be objective to issues. I know my way around the product. The configuration for the Copy to S3 can be a little difficult but given the feature is something not available within AWS I tend to overlook that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initially, AWS did not have a decent native backup solution. AWS Backup has made some great improvements but it is still nowhere near as easy to implement and manage as N2WS Backup & Recovery. The ease and speed of recovery make regular restore testing simple.
Simple efficient intuitive AWS backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
The User interface is organized so it is easy to navigate and the configuration of the software is easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
DR testing has not been fully flushed out. The latest release appears to solve some of those issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup of the AWS environment with audit able backups and alerting. Reports of unprotected resources ensure that new instances are not overlooked in the backup solution.

Setup the free trial in your environment and test how quickly you can have backups configured.
Great product and great Support
What do you like best about the product?
It very easy to get the CPM server setup and doing basic backups to start protecting your AWS instances. Also like the new 3.0 user interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user guide is not always clear on how to implement a given solution leaving me to contact support for clarification
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to have a cross account for direct S3 DR vault backups is huge. Makes the process of securing and retrieving a DR backup so much easier that the previous method we had engineered using a different vendors product
