Experience with Loadbalancer.org

  • January 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and maintain. The use is simple and documentation is provided. The support is responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Presentation details could be improved, but especially the logging part is insufficient. The ADC portal is a very good idea, but it lacks maturity. Keep trying!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First of all, the load balancer provides high availability for many services: Exchange, DNS, LDAP, Print, Web. You can stop 1 server without losing the service, which is very useful for updates, for example.

What do you like best about the product?
Load balancer enterprise ADC is so easy to use, you basically set it and forget it. We have never had any issues with our setup. It just works and when mananing so many other systems it is so nice to not have to worry about these.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing to say about dislikes, I don't have any!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Load Balancer Enterprise ADC is not necessarily solving problems, just making life easier. We moved our Citrix netscaler storefront VIP to the load balancers and it was done in under an hour. Completely transparent to the users.

Great support. We would be stuck without them

  • January 26, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Support staff is super knowledgable, very responsive and always willing to help. We would be in serious trouble without their expertise. We have a complex infrastructure and I'm confident no other loadbalancer support would have been able to help us navigate our issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't expereienced any real negatives or issues of concern.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a multiple server environment with thousands of installed certificates in a high traffic environment. We need to update and install certificates via API, set up complex routing situations, and have a complex set of rules. The product itself is very nice and easy to use.

We previously used an inbuilt load balancer.

How was the initial setup?

The solution’s initial setup is easy.

What about the implementation team?

The solution’s deployment doesn’t take too long.

What other advice do I have?

You need to have a basic knowledge of load balancers to use the solution. You can deploy the solution on-premises or on the cloud. Analytics-wise, the solution is much better compared to other vendors.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Solid product and amazing support experience

  • September 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The product is has been solid for us. However, the most amazing thing is their support organization. I have been in the industry for more than 20 years, and they have been hands down the best support group that I have worked with over the years. We have also had the product in house for two years, so we are not new to the solution and experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
There has been truly nothing to dislike. They have been rock solid as a product, and support organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently use Load Balancer Enterprise ADC in two sites in front of our onsite object storage solution.

Helps prevent server overload by distributing the load across multiple servers, ensuring stability and enhancing security

  • September 11, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We're working on a project where our customers use HJ. We utilize their load balancer to evenly distribute the data load between multiple servers, ensuring that one server doesn't become overloaded.

How has it helped my organization?

Since I'm relatively new to the load-balancing scene, my current focus is primarily on data load-balancing.

What is most valuable?

If all the data traffic is directed to a single server, it can become overwhelmed. Load balancing helps us distribute both incoming and outgoing data loads evenly among the servers, preventing overload on a single server.

What needs improvement?

We could enhance the security aspects of the load balancer. For instance, when data passes through the load balancer, it could potentially include sensitive files or trade-related data. It would be beneficial to have additional features that help identify and protect against any unauthorized access or file leakage.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using it for past two months.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is scalable and I would rate it an eight out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

We're not currently using it because I've been testing it for about a month, and so far, everything seems fine.

How was the initial setup?

The choice of environment depends and specific needs and requirements. The setup process for the testing phase typically takes me around 30 minutes to an hour. It involves installing the tool and entering necessary information like SSL details. The staffing requirement depends on the project's size, with a small-scale solution typically requiring only one person to manage. I would rate it seven out of ten.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

So far, I would rate it around a five out of ten.

What other advice do I have?

Loadbalancer.org is highly valuable for organizations dealing with extensive file transfers. It helps prevent server overload by distributing the load across multiple servers, ensuring stability and enhancing security.

I would rate it an eight out of ten.

Customer Support is top-notch.

  • June 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I had a technical question that needed another technician to help. They could explain what I needed to do and provide links to documentation. Both technicians were beneficial and quick to respond. A++
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing for multi-year support could be better. Support should rarely need to be contacted once the appliance setup up and running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have servers that are not directly accessible to the outside world. The load balancers offered by Loadbalancer.org include reverse proxy to provide a solution for our setup. The addition of DDOS protection, not being an additional purchase, is a significant benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Loadbalancer.org's load balancers are fully featured and include many extras that other companies charge for. Support is great.
