Safety first, FileCloud keeps data management well-organized.

  • December 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I particularly like the strong security of FileCloud. It uses 256-bit AES encryption to encrypt data at rest, which is very important for me when storing sensitive data such as business confidential files and customer privacy information. I also appreciate that it uses SSL/TLS protocol encryption during data transmission to ensure the security of data when being transferred over the network. The initial setup is relatively simple, making it easy to integrate with Microsoft Office 365, which makes file management secure and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cloud Service Integration: Further expansion can be made in the integration with other cloud services. For instance, enterprises that are already using multiple cloud services (such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud, etc.) hope to more conveniently integrate FileCloud with these cloud services to achieve cross-cloud data migration, backup, and other functions. Enhancing compatibility and integration capabilities with different cloud services will meet the complex digital architecture needs of more enterprises.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use FileCloud to centrally manage file data, achieving unified storage and control, and preventing data loss. It enhances cross-departmental collaboration efficiency and ensures secure data sharing through permission settings. I also save Office 365 files to FileCloud, making it convenient for the team to access the latest versions.

FileCloud: Secure, Flexible, and Effortless Document Management

  • December 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
FileCloud has been an excellent solution for our organisation, giving us the perfect balance of security, flexibility, and ease of use. I really value how much control it gives us over our data, especially with the option to self-host and manage permissions in a very granular way. Sharing files internally and externally is seamless, and the ability to customise the platform to reflect our branding has been a great bonus for working with clients. Overall, FileCloud has made our document management more efficient, secure, and user-friendly—I genuinely couldn’t be happier with the experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I really appreciate what FileCloud offers, there are a few things I’m not a huge fan of. The user interface can feel a little dated in places, and the initial configuration takes more effort than I’d like, especially if you’re running it on-prem. The mobile experience is okay but not as smooth as some other platforms, and the sync client can occasionally be a bit temperamental. None of these are deal-breakers, but they’re areas that could definitely be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FileCloud has helped solve several major challenges for us, especially around secure file management and controlled sharing. It gives us a central, reliable place to store documents while still maintaining full ownership and compliance, which removes a lot of the risk that comes with public cloud tools. The granular permission controls and audit trails mean we can confidently share files with staff, clients, and partners without worrying about data leaving the wrong hands. It’s also streamlined our workflow by making collaboration easier—everything from version control to external file sharing is more organised and transparent. Overall, FileCloud has reduced administrative headaches, strengthened our security posture, and made day-to-day document handling far more efficient.

Experience of working with FileCloud

  • November 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about FileCloud is the level of granular control it offers over user permissions and policies. The platform enables precise configuration for data retention, access control, and encryption, which is very useful. Its integration with Active Directory and other enterprise tools streamlines user management. Additionally, I value its automation features and API support, as these make it straightforward to connect FileCloud with other systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
One aspect I find challenging about FileCloud is the complexity of the initial setup and configuration, particularly when handling large-scale deployments or implementing custom integrations. Additionally, managing updates and maintaining compatibility between different versions often demands more manual work than I had anticipated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool makes it easy to share large files and folders by generating links, eliminating the need to send bulky email attachments. In certain configurations, it offers unlimited storage and supports large file sizes, so you aren't limited by space or file constraints. It is accessible across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and desktop clients, which enables teams to collaborate seamlessly regardless of their device. Additionally, it integrates with existing storage backends and identity systems, such as Active Directory or LDAP, as well as with various workflows and applications.

Efficient remote file access with robust security features and excellent support

  • October 22, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

The primary use case for FileCloud is when the customer needs to migrate from a conventional file server, like Windows file sharing, which is only accessible within the office network. Due to the shift to remote work because of COVID-19, more people are working remotely, and companies are applying remote working, necessitating access to the file server even when not physically at the office.

FileCloud enables this remote access without the need for a VPN, allowing users to open the FileCloud application from their endpoint or access the user portal to perform activities such as downloading or sharing files.

How has it helped my organization?

In my experience, implementing FileCloud has enabled us to accommodate the needs of remote working seamlessly.

Employees can access and share files without physically visiting the office, providing flexibility and efficiency in operations.

What is most valuable?

The granularity for the audit log in FileCloud is extremely valuable. It offers administrators visibility into file activities, such as which user accessed or downloaded specific files, allowing us to audit environment activity effectively.

Furthermore, FileCloud includes encryption and a heuristic engine to prevent ransomware uploads and a DLP feature which separates trip main points from a logical perspective.

What needs improvement?

I noticed a feature in competitors that requires two-factor authentication (2FA) for uploading and downloading files in the share folder, which adds an extra security layer. I haven't seen this implemented on FileCloud, and it would add a valuable advantage for security.

Additionally, currently, FileCloud's compatibility for Linux implementation is limited to only Ubuntu or Red Hat Enterprise Server. Expanding compatibility to other Linux distributions could be beneficial for users.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience with FileCloud, which is similar to my experience with EPP.

How are customer service and support?

FileCloud's technical support is excellent. They are capable of resolving platform issues efficiently and follow up to ensure issues are resolved, which is one of their best aspects of SLA adherence. I would rate them a nine for any issue.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have also implemented EPP alongside FileCloud.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

In some cases, we lose clients to competitors due to pricing, although most wins are based on features, not pricing. Our features are highly suitable to the user platform.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Competitors provide some features like advanced user authentication; however, FileCloud features remain suitable for our user platforms.

What other advice do I have?

FileCloud is suitable for all types of industries, including government, financial services, and media. It's efficient for exchanging large files and can replace legacy file server technologies.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

With flexible deployment options and prompt customer assistance, FileCloud offers an entire solution for file-sharing and working together needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some users feel that further training may be necessary for FileCloud's advanced functionalities. Furthermore, price plans could be somewhat more expensive than those of some competitor. While some offer free services, they are poorly secure.
