Additionally, I deploy it for site-to-site VPNs, ensuring secure communication between our headquarters and branch offices.

Setting up OpenVPN is generally quick, both from the client and server sides. The connection setup is speedy. The more time-consuming part is implementing traffic policies, but overall, the initial setup is efficient.

Licensing for OpenVPN is generally hassle-free. Server-side access is usually included, and there is flexibility with features. I haven't encountered licensing issues on the user side either, as proprietary solutions or OpenVPN's built-in options are commonly used without problems.

What do you like best about the product?
We are using it with initially 10 users but we have increased it to 20 users. Happy with overall services along encryption.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a slowness when we connected to openVPN... they need to fix this problem otherwise even if we have high speed internet we are not able to access the online application seemlessly.

It has resolved our security issues while we are accessing our certain application whose exposure to public domain is not safe. So we use OpenVPN to resolve this problem.

we use OpenVPN for users in the company to accessing the resources of the company in a secure way. it works really well and easy to install and work with. I use it a few times a weeks. it has a nice integration with DUO.

The downside mostly is thst after a new updated version of the app comes out, you have to reinstall it, somtimes the older versions stop workig

OpenVPN makes our resources access more secure so not anyone can reach it from anywere. We can manage who can access what easily.

It was very easy to install and configure through GCP's deployment marketplace. I've rarely contacted Customer Support, since it works smoothly out of the box.

It's not much about the Access Server but more about the lack of elasticity in its implementation as an instance. Running as a containarized solutions should fix this.

easy access
What do you like best about the product?
An open VPN access server is extremely helpful and easy to use very handy. This VPN is available across the globe and we can stay connected anytime from anywhere at a very minimum cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing I dislike about OpenVPN access server is the bulky interface. sometimes the software lags and runs slow. we can make the user interface more simplistic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem was solved by the OpenVPN access server and it benefitted me to get anywhere across the globe and at very minimum cost and we also get random locations on demand.

I deployed a t2 micro and there are no issues at all for my 5 min of testing. Upload and download speeds are good (67MB/24MB), tested through Google's internet speed test.
