You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run this LAMP software on. The listing charges no separate software fee tier; instead, each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance size, from small burstable types like t2 and t3 up to large memory- and compute-optimized families such as r6i, m6i, c6i, and high-memory u-series. Your hourly rate scales with the instance's capacity — larger instances cost more per hour. Choose the size that fits your workload. You can stop billing by stopping or terminating the instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for this LAMP software?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the size you pick, billed per hour. The rate covers the pre-configured LAMP stack on Ubuntu 22 with Apache, MySQL, PHP 8.1, and phpMyAdmin. You choose one instance type, and its hourly capacity sets your rate.
Am I charged when I stop or terminate the instance?
Software charges meter running time only. When you stop or terminate the instance, the hourly software fee stops accruing. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage charges for attached volumes, but the LAMP software itself bills for hours the instance runs.
If I move to a larger instance type, how does my bill change?
You pay the hourly rate tied to whichever instance type you launch. Switching to a larger type means a higher hourly rate; a smaller type means a lower rate. The change is not automatic — you select the instance size, so you control which rate applies.
