Elastio delivers provable recovery by continuously scanning snapshots, backups and replicas for ransomware encryption to maintain a verified inventory of last-known clean recovery points.
Ransomware doesn't win by breaking in; it wins when it breaks recovery.
For organizations running on AWS, backups alone aren't enough. As attacks evolve, organizations are discovering that data is being silently compromised and replicated across disaster recovery environments, leaving no clean copy to restore from ransomware attacks.
The result: rising business risk, costly downtime, and increasing regulatory pressure from DORA, HIPAA, and NYDFS to prove recovery readiness.
Elastio provides that assurance with expert data integrity validation. Featured in AWS's Reference Architecture, Elastio integrates natively with AWS to automatically inspect backups, replicas, and snapshots for encryption and compromise. When threats are found, Elastio pinpoints the last-known clean recovery point, ensuring fast, confident restoration.
Highlights
Trust Your Last Line of Defense:
Ransomware now targets recovery paths for maximum leverage. Elastio detects what others miss, identifying polymorphic ransomware, stripped encryption, and fileless malware that silently corrupt data before replication and storage.
AWS-Integrated Ransomware Readiness:
Elastio integrates natively with AWS services including EC2, EBS, S3, FSxN, AWS Backup, DRS, Logically Air-Gapped Vaults, Backup Restore Tests, and GuardDuty. It automates ransomware detection and recovery validation without added complexity or performance impact.
Reduce Downtime Risk, and Simplify Compliance:
With continuous proof of recoverability, organizations minimize downtime, prevent reinfection, and meet audit and regulatory obligations under DORA, HIPAA, and NYDFS with confidence.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You choose one of three contract tiers based on how much data you protect, measured in front-end terabytes. Starter covers up to 50TB. Growth covers up to 100TB. Enterprise covers 1PB and above. Each tier bills at a fixed monthly rate for the volume protected, so your cost scales with the size of the data estate you cover. Licensing uses one metric across all environments, with no per-workload or per-scan fees. Pick the tier that matches your protected storage volume.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as a front-end terabyte for billing purposes?
A front-end terabyte counts the source data you want protected across all environments, not the number of backup copies or scans. Licensing uses this single metric regardless of platform. There are no per-workload or per-scan fees, so the volume of protected source storage alone determines which tier you need.
What happens if my protected data grows past my tier's limit?
Each tier covers a set volume: Starter up to 50TB, Growth up to 100TB, Enterprise 1PB and above. If your protected storage grows beyond your tier's ceiling, you move to the tier that matches your new volume. The vendor sizes quotes using projected data growth over the next 12 months.
Does my rate change depending on which cloud or environment I protect?
No. The same rate applies across supported cloud platforms and on-premises footprints. One metric covers every environment, so protecting data in one platform costs the same per terabyte as another. Your tier depends only on total protected volume, not on where that data lives.

How Elastio Billing Works - Elastio bills based on the amount of data protected, with pricing varying by storage type.
EBS Volumes: Billed on provisioned volume size, regardless of backup frequency or total backup data.
S3 Buckets: Billed on total data scanned per month, including full and incremental scans.
EFS File Systems: Billed on total data scanned per month, including full and incremental scans.
Or, request a private offer or custom quote. Customers who exceed their data tier simply true-up at renewal, avoiding mid-year penalties or surprise costs. Multi-year agreements lock in pricing, and frequent scanning is encouraged, never penalized.
AWS infrastructure support
AWS Support is a one-on-one, fast-response support channel that is staffed 24x7x365 with experienced and technical support engineers. The service helps customers of all sizes and technical abilities to successfully utilize the products and features provided by Amazon Web Services.
Elastio Ransomware Recovery Assurance is a cybersecurity platform purpose built to address the critical data integrity layer in modern Zero Trust security and cyber resilience architectures.
It scans storage and backup data to detect and alert on early-stage ransomware and insider threat encryption. This expert and independent layer delivers early detection of data-centric attacks, ensures clean recovery points, and validates your ability to recover with confidence.
Elastio Ransomware Recovery Assurance Platform (Elastio Platform) integrates with AWS Backup to ensure recovery points are uncompromised, and ransomware-free.
By embedding data integrity validation into the replication and recovery workflow, the Elastio Platform enables organizations to restore clean data confidently, eliminating the risk of encrypted or corrupted backups.
The AWS Backup for Ransomware PoC packaged service solution is geared towards mitigating the impact of a ransomware event. At its core, it uses AWS Backup’s Logically air-gapped (LAG) vault capability for securing backed up data in a separate dedicated account from the Workload accounts.
This solution includes deployment of a Delegated Backup account, Data Bunker account, and KMS account for specific purposes. The Data Bunker account hosts a 3rd party malware/ransomware SaaS solution such as Elastio, or similar provider, to scan restore points produced by AWS Backup service in Workload accounts. Monitoring, auditing, and reporting for compliance is provided via AWS Backup Audit Manager in the Backup account.
