Overview
The Smart Maintenance Starter Kit gives manufacturers a fast and practical way to reduce downtime and extend the life of critical equipment. By combining vibration and temperature sensors with a secure AWS IoT data pipeline, you gain real-time visibility into asset health, failure trends, and machine performance. This enables a shift from reactive to predictive maintenance, cutting costly emergency repairs and improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Data from connected machines is ingested via AWS IoT Core, modeled and visualised with AWS IoT SiteWise, and can optionally be enhanced with anomaly detection using Amazon SageMaker Autopilot. Alerts and trends are accessible through Amazon QuickSight or Grafana dashboards, giving your teams actionable insights to plan maintenance schedules with greater accuracy.
Delivered as a fixed-scope proof of concept (PoC), the kit is designed to validate value quickly and provide a clear path to multi-line or enterprise rollout. By starting small and scaling with AWS-native services, organisations can establish a cost-effective foundation for long-term data-driven maintenance strategies.
