    Convert .pem to .ppk using PuTTYgen (if needed).

    Open PuTTY

    Host: ec2-user@<your-ec2-public-ip>

    Go to SSH > Auth

    Load your .ppk key

    Click Open to connect.

    Once logged in, run: mongod --version
