Overview
This product provides Windows Server 2019 Datacenter with Desktop Experience and a Simplified Chinese user interface, prepared and delivered as an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) by Hanwei. The image applies Hanwei's versioned security-hardening and optimized performance configuration and includes Windows updates available to the configured image at build time.
Marketplace software charges cover Hanwei's operating-system preparation, Simplified Chinese localization, application of the security-hardening and optimized performance configuration, build-date update integration, AMI construction, and bounded Windows-on-EC2 validation. Hanwei support is supplementary and is not the sole basis for Hanwei's Marketplace charges. Applicable Microsoft Windows Server licensing is billed according to the final AWS and Seller Portal terms.
Windows Server 2019 Lifecycle Notice
Windows Server 2019 has completed mainstream support and is currently in Microsoft's extended-support phase. Extended support is scheduled to end in January 2029. Customers are responsible for monitoring the Microsoft lifecycle, applying eligible security updates, and planning migration to a supported Windows Server release.
What Hanwei Adds to Windows Server
- Simplified Chinese Desktop Experience: Windows Server 2019 Datacenter is prepared with Desktop Experience and a Simplified Chinese user interface for administrators who require a Chinese-language Windows environment.
- Localization baseline: Hanwei prepares and verifies the applicable display language, system locale, regional format, keyboard/input configuration, and administrative UI language recorded for the published AMI.
- Security-hardening baseline: Hanwei applies a versioned Windows security profile. Only the controls and exceptions verified on the final AMI are included in the published release scope.
- Optimized performance configuration: Hanwei applies a versioned Windows-on-EC2 configuration. Workload-specific CPU, memory, storage, network, GUI, and application performance depend on the selected EC2 instance, EBS configuration, Windows roles, applications, and customer settings.
- Build-date update baseline: The image includes Windows updates available and approved through the recorded image-build date. This does not mean the image remains continuously current after publication or instance launch.
- AMI construction and validation: Final-image verification covers EC2 launch, Windows activation status, Desktop Experience, Simplified Chinese UI and locale, device status, restart behavior, update state, and administrative access for the stated AMI and instance baseline.
- Supplementary support: Hanwei provides support with a 24-hour response target. This support supplements the prepared and tested image and is not the sole basis for Hanwei's Marketplace charges.
