This software carries no license fee — you pay only for the AWS EC2 infrastructure you run it on. Pricing is organized by EC2 instance type, billed hourly. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, from small burstable types to large memory-, compute-, storage-, and GPU-optimized machines, plus bare metal options. Your hourly cost scales with the instance you choose: larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware cost more per hour. You select the instance that fits your workload, and billing follows that choice. No tiers or add-ons apply.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what runs on the instance I select?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you choose, billed per hour. The machine image includes the Apache HTTP server, PHP, and supporting modules on openSUSE Leap 15. You pick the instance size that matches your web workload.
Am I charged the software rate when my instance is stopped or paused?
This software carries no license fee, so no software charge applies. Hourly billing tracks running instance time only. A stopped instance does not accrue instance-hour charges, though AWS storage fees for attached volumes may still apply separately.
Does this image include a local database, or do I connect to a remote one?
The image installs Apache and PHP with client modules for connecting to remote relational databases, including managed AWS database services. It does not run a local database. If you need a database on the same node, the vendor recommends a separate LAMP stack image instead.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
