Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
NextGen FSM prices by two separate user roles, so you pay per person based on their function. The Field Technician dimension covers technicians who use the mobile app to complete work orders, capture data, and access GIS in the field. The Dispatchers dimension covers planners who schedule and assign jobs from the office. You buy each role independently and set the quantity for each. Costs scale with how many technicians and dispatchers you license. This is a contract purchase, so you commit to a chosen number of users for each role.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one Field Technician user versus one Dispatcher user for billing?
A Field Technician user is a frontline worker who uses the mobile app to complete work orders, capture data, and view GIS maps offline. A Dispatcher user is an office planner who schedules jobs, assigns crews, and monitors work from a dashboard. Each named person in a role counts as one licensed user.
Which role drives most of my cost, and do the two dimensions bill independently?
The two dimensions bill independently and add together on one invoice. Field Technician user count usually drives most of the cost, since technicians typically outnumber dispatchers. A smaller group of dispatchers plans and assigns work for many technicians in the field. You set each quantity separately.
What happens to my cost if I add more technicians during the contract?
You commit to a set number of users per role for the contract. Adding technicians raises cost by the per-user rate for each new Field Technician license. Because you license each role separately, adding technicians does not change your Dispatcher count or its charge. Contact the vendor for mid-term quantity changes.
