Tagbot is a simple tool that uses AI/ML to expose the tag coverage in your AWS environment and addresses the business impact associated with how well-tagged your infrastructure is.
It addresses one of the simplest, yet most poorly utilized capabilities inherent in most important AWS services; the ability to apply tags for effective oversight of one's infrastructure.
Effectively tagging resources classifies your usage to provide solid business benefits:
Cost Reporting and Allocation
Identifying Resources for important business parameters; for example business unit, cost center, project, customer, user, creator, etc.
Illuminating unknown, under-reported or unused resources
Unfortunately, most organizations don't do an optimal job tagging their resources! Whether it is because there are no company usage standards, ineffective emphasis on its importance or just a lack of institutional resolve to enforce a tagging policy.
The one constant, however, is that as AWS infrastructure grows the need for an efficiently tagged environment's importance grows.
Tagbot is the simple solution to ensuring your environment is well-tagged!
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
Tagbot uses a single pricing dimension: the Tagging Engine, billed per AWS account. You pay for one Tagging Engine license for each AWS account you connect. There are no separate tiers or add-ons. Pricing scales directly with the number of AWS accounts you manage. Each account you enroll adds one unit of the Tagging Engine to your contract. This structure keeps billing simple and tied to how many accounts use the tagging service.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit of the Tagging Engine for billing?
One Tagging Engine unit maps to one AWS account you connect. If you manage several AWS accounts, you enroll each account separately, and each adds one unit to your contract. The count is tied to accounts, not to the number of resources or tags inside them.
What does the Tagging Engine do for each AWS account it manages?
For each enrolled account, the Tagging Engine scans your AWS resources and their tags. It provides a dashboard to check, manage, and update tags. An AI feature suggests tags to keep them clean and consistent. This supports cost allocation, compliance, and infrastructure automation efforts.
How does my cost change if I add or remove AWS accounts?
Cost scales directly with account count. Each AWS account you add enrolls one more Tagging Engine unit, raising your total. Removing an account reduces the units you pay for. The number of resources or tags within an account does not change the per-account charge.
