Overview
MinIO is the standard for building large scale AI data infrastructure. The MinIO AIStor is a software-defined, Amazon S3 compatible object store that will run anywhere - from the public cloud to the edge.
Enterprises use MinIO to deliver against artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, application, backup and archival workloads - all from a single platform. The use cases include storage for HDFS replacements, AI datalakes, SIEM datalakes, analytics datalakes, object storage as a service, streaming and database warm/hot storage.
The MinIO AIStor is the fastest object storage server, with production READ/WRITE speeds in excess of 2.2 TiB/s on commodity hardware. Built for the cloud operating model it is native to the technologies and architectures that define the cloud. These include containerization, orchestration with Kubernetes, microservices and multi-tenancy - making it the most widely integrated object store in the market today.
The AIStor offers a host of enterprise features including inline erasure coding, bit-rot detection, state-of-the-art encryption, active-active replication, object locking, lifecycle management, observability, key-management, caching, firewall/load balancing, global console, search and identity + access management.
The AIStor is priced on usable capacity and includes support through the MinIO Subscription Network. The Subscription Network is designed to optimize deployments of MinIO and reduce the risk associated with data loss and data breach while providing 24/7/365 direct-to-engineering support.

Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Usage instructions
AIStor is a Kubernetes controller compatible with EKS and EKS anywhere.
AIStor requires an existing EKS Cluster, you can follow the following link instructions to create an EKS cluster here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/create-cluster.html or to create an EKS anywhere here https://anywhere.eks.amazonaws.com/docs/getting-started/ .
Once a EKS cluster is available, obtain access to the cluster with the "kubectl" command line tool by updating the local kubeconfig, Instructions here https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/create-kubeconfig.html#create-kubeconfig-automaticallyÂ
Finally, install the AIStor resources in the EKS cluster by applying a kustomization, with this kubectl command:
kubectl apply -k https://min.io/k8s/aistor/resources/eksÂ
To access the AIStor web UI create a port-forward, once in the UI follow the instructions showed in the screen
kubectl -n aistor port-forward svc/aistor 8444:8444
You can request a evaluation license in MinIO's website https://min.io/pricing .

Best self hosted S3 bucket creator tool
Any normal user with minimal technical info., user can easily create the S3 bucket on own server.
We also can create multiple region endpoints.
It is also helpful when anyone want to create fully automated deployment script, where storage setup also required, so deployer user don’t have to create creds from services like AWS and other stuff, everything can be setuped by self by using MiniO like opensource platform.
A great object storage for enterprises
Objects can be dealt with UI and CLI
Easy to navigate and can be well organized
Object size is not strictly limited which opens up multiple use cases
UI or portal has some challenging limitations in some environments as far as I know
It is fast in storing and retieving data from minIO
Having said that there is no compromise in security. It is very well secured to use and minIO as object storage
