Instead, each rate maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type you choose, from small burstable sizes like t2 and t3 up to memory, compute, storage, GPU, and bare-metal families. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware carry higher hourly rates. Your total cost depends on which instance type you select and how many hours it runs. AWS infrastructure charges apply separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each rate covers the CentOS 10 software license on the specific EC2 instance type you launch. You pay per hour that instance runs. The rate reflects the instance size and hardware family you select. AWS charges for the underlying compute, storage, and network are billed separately by AWS.
The software rate meters only while the instance runs. Fully stopped instances do not accrue the hourly software charge. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate AWS charges, not this software license.
