You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to one instance size, so pricing scales with the compute you choose. Smaller instances like t2.nano and t3.micro cost less per hour, while larger sizes and specialized families for compute, memory, storage, and GPU workloads cost more. This is usage-based billing with no upfront commitment. Your total depends on which instance you select and how many hours it runs. The software includes CentOS 10 with a security agent, charged consistently across all instance options.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for each hourly charge on an instance?
Each hourly charge covers one running EC2 instance of the size you pick, preloaded with CentOS 10 and a security agent. One dimension equals one instance size. The software rate is charged per instance-hour on top of standard AWS infrastructure charges.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The software meters running time only. A stopped or paused instance stops accruing hourly software charges. You may still owe underlying AWS storage fees for the volume, but the CentOS 10 with Security Agent license bills active hours.
How is my bill affected when I switch to a larger instance type?
Your hourly software rate follows the instance type you run. Moving to a larger size or a specialized compute, memory, storage, or GPU family changes the per-hour rate for the hours it runs. There is no upfront commitment, so the change takes effect immediately.
