    Elemental Spark (ARM64)

     Info
    Deployed on AWS
A powerful, secure platform that allows users to execute AWS CLI commands and run SQL queries on external PostgreSQL databases - all from a single, user-friendly interface. It streamlines cloud operations, reduces manual effort, and enforces strong access control policies.

    Overview

This solution is designed to simplify and automate routine cloud management tasks by allowing direct execution of AWS CLI commands through a web interface: no need for local setup or elevated access. Whether it's managing EC2 instances, handling S3 operations, or interacting with other AWS services, users can perform actions instantly with built-in safeguards and input validation.

Additionally, it supports secure connectivity to external PostgreSQL databases, enabling users to run SQL queries without needing database-level admin access. This makes it easy to fetch data, monitor health, or trigger actions on connected databases, all while maintaining strict security controls. By centralizing these capabilities in one tool, teams can reduce context switching, lower operational costs, and eliminate the risks of manual command execution or over-provisioned access. Built on AWS Graviton.

    Highlights

    • Simple, Unified Interface for AWS CLI and PostgreSQL Queries: Easily execute AWS CLI commands and run SQL queries on external PostgreSQL databases from one intuitive interface; no local setup, technical expertise, or direct DB access required.
    • Automated Cloud Operations: Streamline repetitive AWS and database tasks, reducing manual effort, human error, and operational overhead.
    • Cost-Efficient & Scalable: Reduces the need for dedicated admin resources and expensive tooling while easily scaling with team and workload size.

    CloudFormation Template (CFT)

AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

    Usage instructions

Steps to Launch the EC2 Instance Provide a unique EC2 name. The name must be unique to your account because the IAM role deployed relies on the EC2 name. While multiple EC2 instances can have the same name, the IAM role must be unique within your account; therefore, the EC2 name must also be unique.

Specify the Subnet ID, Security Group ID, and KeyPair.

The EC2 instance requires internet access and must be accessible from the internet on HTTP (port 80). Alternatively, you can simply place it in a public subnet.

Refer to the troubleshooting section to ensure the inbound rules of your Security Group are correctly configured. Specify the EC2 instance type.

We provide t4g.medium as the default, but you are free to choose any instance type that suits your requirements.

    Accessing Spark Application

    1. Wait for the EC2 to Initialise
    2. Open a web browser
    3. Enter the public DNS of the EC2 instance hosting Spark. Example: http://<your-ec2-IPV4>/.
    4. You will be redirected to the Login Page. Create a User and start using the application
