An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Added: Snowflake masking now supports Azure storage integrations in addition to S3. Added support for masking hybrid tables in Snowflake databases. Added support for masking partitioned tables in PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases. Added automatic trigger management feature for Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL/MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases. Triggers can be automatically disabled before masking and re-enabled after completion. Added hash columns selection in the Ruleset Generator UI. Discovered primary keys, unique keys, and foreign keys can be selected as hash columns for deterministic masking. Added Indian seed files. Select the India locality to use these. Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) is now supported as a deployment platform.

Changed: The Ruleset Generator now validates column data types before selecting them as key columns for mask_table tasks. TIMESTAMP columns are now allowed as key columns in MySQL/MariaDB masking operations.

Fixed: Improved discovery performance on Snowflake databases. Fixed broken documentation links in the YAML Editor. Resolved Unicode-related errors in the from_unique_imitate mask. Fixed issue where the from_unique_imitate mask would drop a non-unique index before masking and recreate it as a unique index after masking. Fixed Download Report button remaining disabled when discovery completes with warnings. Resolved connection cloning issues that inherited masking run status from source connections. Fixed crash when masking a Microsoft SQL Server table if the table had multiple indexes involving some or all of the key columns. Fixed non-functional Redshift masking.

Usage instructions

Please follow the steps below to complete setting up your DataMasque instance:

Access the application via a web browser at https://<instance-ip-or-hostname>. The application may take a few minutes to start. Please refresh the page if you encounter the "Unexpected Error" message.
Complete the first-time installation page by providing the following information:

Email address of the DataMasque admin user. This email address is stored on the DataMasque EC2 instance and is used for the purposes of providing 'Forgotten Password' account recovery and critical system notifications. DataMasque will not have access to this information.
Password for the admin user.
Hostnames or IP addresses to access the DataMasque instance.
The SMTP settings specific to your organisation.
The instance ID of your EC2 instance.

You will be re-directed to the DataMasque login screen. Please proceed to login with the admin password you have just configured.
