Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for deployment, configuration, and ongoing support. Permify is a relationship-based access control service inspired by Google Zanzibar. Define fine-grained authorization policies using a schema language, then check permissions via gRPC or REST API with sub-millisecond latency at any scale. Supports RBAC, ABAC, and relationship-based access control with inheritance, wildcards, and computed permissions.
Highlights
- Google Zanzibar architecture: relationship-based access control supporting millions of authorization checks per second with sub-millisecond latency
- Unified authorization models: define RBAC, ABAC, and relationship-based policies in one schema with inheritance, wildcards, and computed permissions
- Developer-friendly APIs: gRPC and REST interfaces with client libraries for Go, Node.js, Python, and Java - integrate in minutes not weeks
