This listing carries one pricing dimension: Product Access (Units). It grants you access to the data at no cost, so there are no tiers, usage meters, or scaling charges to weigh. The single dimension covers the full set of census datasets, including American Community Survey 5-year Estimates by Census Block Group, 2020 Redistricting Data, and Census Block Group geometry files. Because the product is free, you pay nothing based on volume, rows, or downloads. You subscribe once to unlock access, with no ongoing fee structure tied to how much data you use.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What exactly do I get access to when I subscribe to this free product?
You get access to eight downloadable datasets. These include American Community Survey 5-year Estimates by Census Block Group for release years 2016-2020, the 2020 Census Redistricting Data, and Census Block Group geometry files for the 2010-2019 and 2020-2029 decades. Each dataset can be downloaded separately based on your needs.
Does my cost change based on how many datasets I download or how large they are?
No. The single dimension grants access at no cost, so download volume does not affect your bill. You can download all eight datasets or just one. File sizes range from about 30mb to 1.2gb compressed. None of this triggers a charge, since the product is free.
How is the data delivered and in what format do I receive it?
Each Census attribute dataset arrives as comma-delimited CSV files, keyed by a 12-digit Census Block Group ID. Geometry datasets arrive as a single GeoJSON file with polygons for all Census Block Groups. Each dataset also includes metadata files for parsing Census geographies and variable names.
