AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour for this preconfigured Debian desktop image, with no upfront commitment. The seven dimensions are all ARM-based t4g instance sizes, running from t4g.nano up to t4g.2xlarge. They differ only in compute capacity, memory, and vCPUs. The hourly rate rises as you move to a size with more resources. You pick the instance size that fits your workload and scale up or down by switching sizes. The software itself is the same across every size; the price reflects the underlying hardware you choose. AWS infrastructure charges apply separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get with each t4g instance size, like t4g.nano or t4g.2xlarge?
Each size is an ARM-based virtual machine running the Debian desktop image. Sizes differ in vCPUs and memory. The t4g.nano gives the fewest resources, and t4g.2xlarge gives the most. The software stays the same across all sizes; only the underlying compute capacity changes.
Am I charged when I stop or power off the instance?
Hourly software charges meter running time only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the per-hour software charge. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached disks, but those are AWS infrastructure costs, not the software charge billed through this listing.
What am I paying for beyond the open source software itself?
The listing repackages open source software, and the Elm Computing charge covers support for that packaged image. You pay this per instance-hour based on the size you run. AWS infrastructure charges for compute and storage are billed separately by AWS.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
